I have received a dvd update package today.
And something went terribly wrong...
The activation number that Navteq has provided me (using my VIN as a guide during the purchase checkout) is not...

Dealer told me that updates come every two years so I have to wait till 2014...
Is it true?

We have just made a trip through Europe.
Polish fuel - 140-160 km/h - 14.5l/100km !!!!!!!
German - 160-180 km/h - 11l/100km
Swiss - 120-130 km/h -...

I really can't imagine how 10/100km is possible... Unless you are driving 50-60 km/h with no hard acceleration at all...

As I wrote somewhere before. My Jeep dealer told me that they had offered officialy this kind of chip for the previous diesel engine. It was prepared by some external tuning company here in Warsaw...

As the external chip leaves no trace in the system (doesn't change an engine map etc.) Jeep can follow all the threads they want... If you unplug it before service there is no chance they will know...

I was talking with my Subaru dealer/service owner the other day.
He said that he himself has tested this kind of a chip in the new Forester diesel and was suprised as it has noticably improved fuel...
