Magneti Marelli and Mopar parts

Just went to the dealer and bought an oil filter for my WK. The filter used to be Mopar but now itís made (still in the USA) by Magneti Marelli, a FIAT subsidiary. It looks like Magnetti Marelli...

Re: Another Jeep Recall

They'll probably measure your height. If you're under five foot eleven they'll tell you the recall doesn't affect you. If you're six foot or over you'll get a stern lecture from the service manager...

Re: Key replacement - 06 wk

You should definitely check with a good locksmith. I had a Nissan key programmed by a locksmith. He had a duplicator that took no time at all.

I compare that to when I originally bought the car...

Re: Consumer Reports Drops Grand Cherokee Recommendation

You hit the nail on the head Snipe. A person has to be able to take the good with the bad. My brother in law is a Toyota Corolla driver. He was actually thinking of buying a Jeep since he needed all...

Re: Code P0456 ??

I'm guessing it won't come back. These Jeeps really do not like to be overfilled. I've experienced weird gauge readings just with overfilling by less than a dollar.
If it does come back I would just...

I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced within that shorthand description "crossover vehicle"; and perhaps I could never succeed in intelligibly...

Yeah...but I could also call that an artificial reef (just joking).

Re: Are our jeeps crossovers?

LOL. This is getting ludicrous. You're saying that Car Finder claims that the XJ was body on frame? Well that pretty much discredits any opinion they might have on this subject. This is hilarious!

I'm sure that will be a real interesting project. Hope you can get it to work without too many headaches. I only visit the forum sporadically but I'll be watching for some updates!
Best of luck.

Wow, Studio, what an attitude you have. You really should chill out. Read the question again. The question was "what do we think". I suspect most of us don't know or even care other than...

Re: Last year of American made Jeep Cherokees

Welcome to the Garage! I had a hell of a good time with my 87 Cherokee. It ran beautifully for 20 years (the last 15 by me). The 4.0 liter and auto transmission would probably have kept running...

Re: Are our jeeps crossovers?

Just look under your Jeep. A crossover is not built like a tank like our Jeeps are.
I generally don't refer to it as a truck but it's sure as heck an SUV. For the uninformed masses, I think...

Re: Heres the 2014 Jeep Cherokee

If it's as solid as my 87 XJ was, I could maybe grow to appreciate this one. I'll reserve my judgement till I've seen one in person. The original xj was designed more than 28 years ago and was a real...

Re: Real MPG (2010)

I call BS on the mileage claims. If you drive the v6 like you would a v8, sure, your mileage could even be worse than the 4.7. But avoid WOT and the 3.7 will beat the 4.7 in gas mileage. It just...

Not hard to bend. But you'll need to double flare the ends which requires a flaring tool.
Never heard of a brakeline rusting out that soon!!

My advice is just drive it for now. Make sure it's mechanically ok. Your gas mileage is pretty bad, but calculate it by hand to make sure it's not the evic that's wrong.

Keep in mind that the v8...

Re: Unrepairable Puncture after owning my JGC for a week

Re: Fuel usage

I think it's the transmission, not the engine so much, that makes the Liberty suck gas more than WK2 and even the WK. It needs another gear.

Re: Hello all!! Big problem with my new Jeep grand cherokee Overland!

Leaving an engine idling in park is not really dangerous. My point would be that it is simply wasteful. Imnsho that goes for remote starting as well. I wouldn't ever use remote start if I had it. 10...

I think there was some human intervention there. But why would you leave it running like that in the first place? That's so wasteful. Was it locked?
