I believe that the knuckle will be OK with any of the typical oversizes that we're talking about. With the standard offset 18"s and 275s there's enough clearance... and most aftermarket rims add...

If you can strip the insulation off a wire and do up a screw... you'll be fine. I can mock up an example of the method for you to copy.

My MY14 has a 2011-2013 WK2 towbar installed, so yes, it's going to fit.

Have you chased quotes though? I only paid $460... it seems like a lot of work for the gain, plus you're deleting an asset...
