Re: Dropped a valve seat, need a motor!

Looks like I'll need a new long block. I'll post pictures later so you can see the damage. I was quite surprised that the valve seat just shattered into pieces. I'm guessing it was not billet, cast...

Re: Dropped a valve seat, need a motor!

Yeah, I'm considering going forged, but I've also got a subaru with a blown motor right now that I'm rebuilding and it's gonna be hard to justify two project cars!

I don't have the car with me...

Dropped a valve seat, need a motor!

Hi all,

Long story short, my Hemi dropped a valve seat and destroyed a cylinder/piston so I think I'm gonna need a new motor. I'm weighing my options but I wanted to see where you guys recommend...

If it's the valve body, I'd get an aftermarket one. A core swap for this Sharadon one is $325. http://sharadon.com/sdparts.htm

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Use a scratch resistant and uv resistant polycarbonate or lexan instead of plexiglass (acrylic) if you can afford it. It's much stronger and better for impact resistance.

Re: Sway bar bolt wont go in

That's the way to do it. Keep in mind that the disconnects don't go all the way in and sit flush by default. What I had to do is take a 1/2" drill to the LCA's threads and drill in about 1/4" of a...

Re: Sway bar bolt wont go in

Does it come to a dead stop like it's bottoming out on something or does it just get too hard to turn? If it's too hard to turn, you probably cross-threaded the hole, which is quite easy on those...

Re: What did you do to your WK today?

Yeah, the front end is about 1/2" too thin. The way it mates under the vehicle is really superb and solid though.

Re: 2007 Grand Cherokee WK LED Bulbs Front and Tails
