Re: Moab 2014

I've seen travel trailers at the San Rafael Bridge campground. The road from I-70 is graded gravel. Beyond that I don't recall but I do remember a wet weather creek crossing past that campground that...

Re: Moab 2014

Agree. The San Rafael Swell area is one of my favorites. I've been to the Buckhorn Wash area as well as the Wedge Overlook, Copper Globe Mine, some of the slot canyons and Goblin Valley. Did you work...

Re: Moab 2014

Heading out later this year with our Trailhawk. Planning on Hurrah Pass to Chicken Corners, Potash to Shafer Switchbacks and return via Long Canyon and maybe a few others (depending on weather).

Re: SAE or Metric (or both)?

For what it's worth, here are some bolt sizes that I have encountered along with torque specs:

Wheel lug bolts - 22mm (110 ft-lbs)
Oil filter cover - 24mm (18 ft-lbs)
Oil drain plug - 13mm (20...

Re: Red Trailhawk

Re: Pics @ Big Bend State Park, TX - 2014 JGC Overland 4x4

Always enjoy the action pics. Looks like a great trip. Makes me anxious for Moab next year. By the way, that is a rare photo of an Escort suction cup mount still attached to a windshield.

Re: $140.00 for safe right turn

For that price, they could at least take a better quality photo.

Re: Your opinion of Hill Descent Control?

Based on my brief experience yesterday and for this particular vehicle, 1st gear in 4LO is insufficient on trails with steep, rocky grades. So in that sense, yes, HDC is slower and offers good...

Your opinion of Hill Descent Control?

I used it briefly yesterday on our new Trailhawk and it seemed to work really well. I wonder though about prolonged use in long, steep downhill sections. I assume it was designed with just that in...

Re: My first Jeep, a new Trailhawk

So far I like it. The bolsters are regular leather while the lower seat back and bottom cushion are "suede". Looks reasonably durable but time will tell.

Re: My first Jeep, a new Trailhawk

My first Jeep, a new Trailhawk

Hey everybody, this is my first post and I'm now the proud owner of a 2013 Trailhawk. Here are a few pics....dealer was kind enough to remove the giant hood decal.
