Re: Post your Provent/Racor setups

After changing the orange seal and going to 5W40, had some time this week to clean the intake. Lots of oil into the resonator, o-rings on the high pressure side where leaking too. Next thing to do is...

Battery Tray reliability

Hi,

Is the original battery tray and clamping tough enough for offroading on fast tracks? The plastic bracket holding the battery scares me?

Has anyone reinforced the battery tray?

Re: WK transmission temp PID

Does anyone know a forum where i could ask for chrysler's PIDs?
It's a shame we are obliged to buy such a fancy device for only reading a GB temperature.
Probably I'm going to process my own...

WK transmission temp PID

Hi,

Does anyone knows the PID for transmission oil temperature? How do you guys check your oil level?
It's seems very hard to find the list of chrysler specific PID's.

Thanks

Re: Backlash on throttle on/throttle off and cold start shivering

Thanks for your answer. I work too around the throttle on/off, but sometimes you can't avoid it like when you approach a red light braking then reapplying throttle because it's gone green.

What I...

Is it due to engine negative torque putting transmission clearances in a way then engine positive torque in the other way?

Please tell me at least if you...

I feel like a backlash in the transmission when either:

Re: Turbo oil leak (probably)

OK, for the PCV. What's common oil consumption on CRD's. Mine is 1l per 1000 miles. I think it's huge.

Re: Turbo oil leak (probably)

Catch can is common on the engines I know. My guess is it's the plastic part before the blow-by hose. Oil into the intake is no good for car manufacturer either because burning oil doesn't help with...

Re: Turbo oil leak (probably)

I don't think MB 229.51 means 5W30? And I don't think I have a DPF (not sure)

On the right valve cover there is an oil catch tank which should separate evaporated oil from the combustion gases...

Turbo oil leak (probably)

I put it at my local dealer and he found...
