Re: Want to Replace RES radio with 430N RBZ, does anyone have one?

Honestly, I haven't done it yet.

I still plan to but, it may be a while before I get to it.

Re: New to the V6

Realm, now that is very disapointing to hear.

When our engines are rated at very close to 300hp and the programing won't even allow the vehicle to even get out of its own way, we have problem!

Re: Do Cold Air Intakes Improve Fuel Economy?

I added a cheapo Ebay CAI to my 99 Cherokee with the 4.7 V-8. Yup, it sounded better when I punched it and I thought it improved my performance and mileage. That was until I was planning to trade it...

Re: Do Cold Air Intakes Improve Fuel Economy?

Does a CAI seem to help tighten up the less than stellar shifting of the V6 transmission?

Re: Has anyone tried the Dodge Challenger Programing in their WK2?

I drove a 2011 and it seemed better than our 2012. Perhaps it had the update?

Re: New to the V6

If you have Select Trac turn it to "Sport" and it helps out quite a bit. I too am disapointed in the ability of the V-6 to be able to zip in and out of traffic without a lot of planning.

Re: Do Cold Air Intakes Improve Fuel Economy?

I was looking at the design of how the stock airbox draws cold air, and it seems like disabling a system that is actually drawing cold air from outside the engine compartment would be...

Do Cold Air Intakes Improve Fuel Economy?

I have read everything I can find on this forum regarding CAIs. I am thinking about adding a CAI to our 2012 Grand Cherokee with a V-6. I am looking to improve economy and performance sound if...

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

That goes without saying Fauee.

I'm not talking about aggressive driving at all. I'm talking about trying to merge into heavy traffic, changing lanes or trying to get across a busy street. I am...

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

You nailed it with this statement Jeeperscreeper.

"IMO if you tell the car to do something, it should do it when you tell it to, not when it wants to. So just as if you press the brake pedal, the...

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

The whole problem is we are having to come up with novel ways to make the transmission do what it should be doing on its own. I have mentioned this to Chrysler twice and I have asked my dealer about...

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

Yes, it does happen all the time unless I turn it to Sport Mode. Once in Sport Mode, I seem to lose 5th gear on the highway. It forces me to jump back and forth from Auto to Sport. Not good! I can...

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

I used to notice it most when exituing a slow speed turn. I would go to accelerate and there was a dead spot in acceleration. As you slowly push the gas pedal down nothing happens. You have to jab...

Re: Has anyone tried the Dodge Challenger Programing in their WK2?

Good points guys!

I just want the shift points fixed. The dead spots and delay between gears are dangerous.

Re: Awful shift points. Will we ever be able to do anything about it?

I agree with you guys 100%. I love our new 2012 V-6 Grand Cherokee but, I am worried that the dead spot in the shifting is going to cause a safety issue for the wife when she is driving it in...

Re: Has anyone tried the Dodge Challenger Programing in their WK2?

That should tell us that with intake and exhaust mods, our Jeeps are certainly capable of achieving a substantialy higher horsepower level.

Re: Has anyone tried the Dodge Challenger Programing in their WK2?

I am refering to testing Dodge Challenger stock programing on a Penastar equipped WK2.

On an independent note: Has the aftermarket cracked the programing code for Challengers yet?

Re: Biggest thing I miss about the Hemi

Re: My First Post and a Question:

Yes, I am still trying to find out where the connection point is for the fuel line used to pressurize the fuel rails. There must be a fuel system schematic available somewhere?
