Yes you will need to go to dealer to get factory trailer wiring working.
Dealer has to add option of trailer wiring to your VIN, then do a vehicle
reconfiguration to get it to activate and work,...

Yes this is correct, the actual vin# does not change, just he option codes for that vin get upgraded or added, and yes after some options are added, the dealer has to reconfigure the Jeeps computer...

The trans dipstick has markings on it, need scan tool to read trans temp, then depending on what trans temp is will match up with markings on dipstick.
Should not have to sdjust trans fluid level...

If the dealer just did a scan of Jeep, that will do nothing, dealer has to go into dealer connect, with your vin, and add option code for side mirrors with intergrated signal lights, then after that...
