Re: Black On Red

I think it will look great too.
Maybe tinted taillights, blacked out windows, Laredo headlight fixtures are darker too.
I'll be looking for the pics.

Re: Throttle position question

I would recalibrate the throttle. Then hook it up and see the result.

Key on, press the gas pedal to the floor slowly and release slowly. then start engine. I may not be remembering this...

Re: So about these SRT replicas

They pop in tight, when seated they could rattle or turn a little. So I put a squirt of RVT silicone in back. I've had no problems.
BTW the wheels have remained true and vibration free.

Re: So about these SRT replicas

"center cap".
When you buy the reps you get blank caps. The Limited oem caps fit the hole so the wheels look factory.
Justforjeeps.com has OEM caps for sale.

That angle on the upper ball joint is extreme. IMO.

Re: Couple pics after wash..

Man, that hood goes good on a SRT. The CF looks real nice against the red! In the pics it looks like it picks up the black in the bumper and rear defuser.

Re: JEEP still having ALOT of problems

Does it stumble and skip before it stalls?
When it stalls are the gauges dead like the electrical is off?
Does it smell like it's running rich?
Does it stall at highway speed or when shifting?

Re: what causes Tinted Tails to get warped ?

I don't think so. Halogen 1157, or 3157 bulbs are $20.00 a pair and are extremely bright. The stock tailights are regular bulbs.
I think.

Re: Anyone here had this happen or know anything about it?

You could pop the rubber boot and pack it with grease, then put the boot on again. I wouldn't make a hole in the boot.

Re: what causes Tinted Tails to get warped ?

This thread is confusing me. Tail lights don't have halogen bulbs? I think the paint absorbs the heat from the regular bulbs AND reacts with the Lexan. Just a guessing though.

Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

I never thought about that. I've seen black emblems on black performance cars, Buick Grand Nationals being one, and it looked great.

Re: To DeBadge Or Not To DeBadge...

I did not read any of this thread. This is a unaduterated opinion!
Sand them and paint them to match the body. Even the "Jeep" on the hood.
I could never take off a HEMI emblem anyway.

Re: JEEP still having ALOT of problems

I think you should follow the buy back procedure, without a lawyer. If you bring or mention a lawyer they get more defensive. The process will take longer.
If you have a problem they can't cure,...

Re: Anybody Do This Custom Mod Yet?

Looking at that hood I think it might be overkill on a regular WK. On a SRT it's great. I wish it didn't have the front intakes. I don't know?

Re: My homage to Matt's sub box

It's coming out good! The grille is a good idea considering the location. Now the fabric? I walked around Joanne fabrics and found some nice stuff for my enclosure.
Keep up the good work.

Re: How do the door entry guards attach?

Yes, 3M tape, and you get one shot at it. When it sticks that's it! Do a dry run first.
