Re: EcoDiesel got rear-ended this afternoon....

Don't accept it back until your happy. Call the insurance company and get them involved, they will hold payment until it's acceptable.

Re: EcoDiesel got rear-ended this afternoon....

How are all the body lines? Doors, fenders, hood and tailgate and the roof? If any of them are out of whack I would want to see it on a frame machine and checked before they go much further.

Re: Frame mounted under-vehicle storage?

I have all that stuff in with the spare tire. I put them in Klien canvas tool bags though, wrenches, sockets, receiver shackle mount and even a recovery rope.

Re: EcoDiesel got rear-ended this afternoon....

I have always gone through my insurance company vs the other drivers. You aren't guaranteed the deductible but I always get it if not at fault.

Re: What Genius Engineer @ jeep decide to cut 1" off the length of the receiver tube?

I know this thread is old but I did some towing with my Grand yesterday and the rattle is very annoying. I tried three different hitches to see if it helped but nothing. The 2 inch square is to...

Re: Average of days for side collision repairs

Many things can delay a accident repair. The insurance company starts out by low balling the repair by not writing all the damage because its not seen. So the shop rips it apart only to uncover more...

Re: "I don't know how to drive in snow/ice, so I blame my GC" Part Deux

Its very possible something is wrong with the Jeep in question but I doubt it. If all 4 of his tires are on ice, guessing because nobody can see the other side, it could very well be stuck. That...

Re: Rocky road super sliders wk2 thoughts?

If your going to need these for protection just go with the Mopar or Uneek. Just compare them and your going to see the difference in what they protect and why they are cheaper.

Re: Is there anything that can be done to reduce fish-tail action?

If the tires were never rotated from when you drove off the lot, it's possible a bad tire could cause it. It's just an easy thing to check. I would also jack up up and just check everything, just...

Re: Pro tip from a Dyno guy & Volant CAI install

Even with your air filter out of the engine bay, once you stop moving the under hood temps climb and soak into the intake. That alone could give you the 30 degree spike.
How much Of a difference...

Re: pentastar upgrade

I would bet they will follow the current trend of twin turbo small displacement engines in the future, with increasing average fuel economy demands from the government it's the easy way out.

Re: Is there anything that can be done to reduce fish-tail action?

I would drive another one off the lot at the dealer just for a back to back.
The other thing to try is just rotate the tires and see if it changes.

Re: Pro tip from a Dyno guy & Volant CAI install

You can't compare factory air intakes systems of ten years ago to current models. Most new vehicles on the market today have great intake set ups just to squeeze efficiency out of them.
As far as...

Re: 2012 SRT8 Dyno Tune VS Stock Tune & Race Gas Mix

There is probably a window of operation the factory program has, higher octane would let it operate at the peak.

Re: Any way to block the EGR?

I'd bet the EGR is the bigger issue. The PCV can get a oil separator on it, nothing you can do with the EGR. I would block it off but your going to get a code for lack of flow.

It could possibly be true what he said. I'm all for driving based on conditions but so many idiots drive way to slow because they don't prepare their car for winter travel. You don't need to go 90mph...

Re: Suspension Lift Kit - WK2 4x4 Quadra-lift

Not what I would call a lift kit, they just fool the computer to raise the suspension. Your giving away all your down travel doing so, giving a bad ride and no flex.

Re: **NEW**4.8 V8 Pentastar based engine for next gen WK(2015-16)?

I like the pushrods motors and hope they stay around for a long time. GM has proven they are a still an excellent power platform that has both power and economy.

Re: Hood Damaged While Shipping Jeep

I only ask because the hood on my 13 is rust bubbling from underneath where the skin is folded over the shell. The seam sealer is all bubbling off as well.
I'm going to check it today with a magnet.
