Re: Thoughts on trading in the '14 Overland for a Yukon Denali?

I traded in my '11 Summit last week for one of them obnoxious '15i Escalades.
If room is what you are looking for, a GM big body is a pretty good option.
I only have 160 miles on it, so to supply...

Re: Movin on...

Hey, I am by no means touting that the Cadillac is any better (or worse) than the Jeep, it just now suits my needs (and wants) better.

Re: Movin on...

Nah, not even close.
36" inseam, 6'4 3/4" at my last physical.
The fact that my leg could even come in contact with the shifter is just not acceptable to me.
That there is such an obnoxious,...

Re: Movin on...

Hey, thanks for chiming in on this one!
I was pretty active on these boards for the first couple of years.
I actually had the seat bottom on my Summit supplemented by a upholstery shop because I...

Re: Movin on...

No, it is the placement of the shifter. it sits right in the middle of the console, favoring the driver.
No issue with my '11 6-speed Summit console or shifter.

Re: Movin on...

6'5"/ lean 240 lb.
That shifter is pointless.
I even looked into the feasibility of putting a dial into the SRT.
When I first drove the new ('14) SRT, I could not believe what they had done.....

Re: Movin on...

Yes, I have been following this closely. It seems it was quite prevalent in the early builds.
I thorough test-drive before turning over the keys to the Jeep is in order!

Movin on...

After almost four years of absolute satisfaction with my '11 Summit, I ordered a new Escalade the other day.
Why, after the Jeep was such a great vehicle?
The shifter.
Someone in the Chrysler...

Re: Need advice. Quadra Lift system has failed for the 3rd time in 3 Months.

Trust me, that generation S-Class was riddled with air suspension issues. My father had a '00 and had the suspension changed out twice under warranty.
As far as the '14's go, I truly believe they...

Re: Need advice. Quadra Lift system has failed for the 3rd time in 3 Months.

This whole thread is making me sick. After 43k miles of bliss on my '11 Summit, I got the "service air suspension immediately" indicator traveling back from upstate New York this afternoon. The...

Re: 2014 Summit with Saddle interior

Re: Changes for 2015?

The new shifter is an absolute deal breaker for me. Once my '11 Summit wears out, I cannot get a new one…my right leg grazes the idiotic, purposeless shifter on the '14's. It belongs on the dash in...

Re: 2014 Tahoe vs JGC

Easy on the economy comments...Two buddies with similar LTZ Suburbans..they both, in separate conversations, have reported highway mpg in the mid twenties, something I can only dream of with my Hemi..
