There is some play yes. but it has never caused a problem. I have ensured thought that it makes solid contact while trying to start.

I found the other thread on SKIS delete. The local dealer never mentioned anything about that, but I guess if the PCM is damaged then it will not make a difference whether the SKIS is present or not.

Right, one fuel pump later, one problem resolved. In fact, I would suggest that the Jeep is better than it has ever been.

I have now replaced the CKP, CMP and TPS sensors, but with little effect. I guess next up is the fuel filter/regulator.

I was also (pleasantly) surprised that I did not get the CEL. I know of another WJ 4.7 that also runs without the CEL and without all it's cats.

What worries/worried me is this from an WJ workshop...

I removed the headlight sensor from the dash, but it looked fine....

What does this alignment entail ? The mounting LED bracket is still on the windscreen, so would it not just be a case of clipping on the module ?

Last time it did the non-starting issue with me I tried the brake/cycle through PRNDL and none of it worked. Neither did it start in N with my foot on the brake. So I guess it at least rules out...

1. Yip, when I "prime" the car it start a lot easier, but I have replaced the filter/regulator. Would the next step be fuel pump or perhaps the o-ring ?
