Re: iOS 6 - battery meter

730/iPhone 5/ios 6 = sometimes it's red (even when the phone is charged), and sometimes it's green. I haven't been able to determine any sort of pattern or correlation. Kind of bugs me, but as long...

Re: Auto headlights no working

NEVERMIND!

I figured it had something to do with the wiring harnesses in the center bezel. So I went back out and popped the center bezel off and checked those contacts. Sure enough, the grey...

Auto headlights no working

Okay, so I finally installed my trailer brake controller in the center console cubby. Got it all done and the controller works just fine. But now the automatic headlights aren't working. When I...

Re: DVD on 730?

Well, I tried a different DVD and yes, there was a "video" button on the touchscreen in the lower right corner. That button wasn't there with the first DVD that I tried, but that first DVD was a...

DVD on 730?

When you open the face of the 730, there is a DVD logo on the interior front. I thought I read somewhere that you could play a DVD on the dash screen as long as the vehicle was not moving. Just...

I'm sorry, I thought this thread was going to tell me something about the WK2 allowing integration with a specific forthcoming Apple product. Instead, I apparently wandered into an IT debate about...

Re: Here's My "Dual Cab" Conversion

Nice photoshop job, but wouldn't it have just been easier to start with a Subaru Baja and paste in GC wheels!? :o)

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

The key to good customer service is to under-promise and over-deliver, not the other way around.

We would all likely have been just fine waiting a bit longer had they not given us a time-frame...

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

It's getting more and more frustrating the further past their "deadline" we get. It's hard enough to be patient when there is no promised date - when they actually give a date and then miss their...

Re: Mounting brake controller

Because the Tekonsha gives you all sorts of feedback and it would be annoying to have to keep standing on my head to read what it was telling me! :)

Re: Mounting brake controller

That's awesome, Vinesh. Exactly what I needed! Now I just need to brush up on getting the cubby out so that I can drill the hole in back and pop rivets through the bottom. Thanks.

That's a very interesting idea, Brandon.

Anyone know how easily the wiring plugs and unplugs from the Jeep? Since I won't be using the controller all that often, I like the idea of it being...

Re: Dealer Emblems- WHY WHY

I agree with you. When I bought my BMW Z3 back in 2000, I was pleased that that dealership did not put a sticker on my car. When I got the Overland, I was a little annoyed that the Jeep dealer did....

Re: Mounting brake controller

It's the Tekonsha P3. You can see some pics here: http://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Controller/Tekonsha/90195.html

The "button" is actually a lever on the bottom that slides from right to left.

Re: Modified the Mopar cross bars

Is that how that math should be done (ie. 150 divided by 2 bars = 75 pounds on each bar) or should it go the other way? In other words, is EACH bar capable of holding 150 pounds by itself (ie. 150 x...

Re: Wax smear on black plastic moldings

This is going to sound stupid, but it works. A thin coat of peanut butter and then wipe off. May not be permanent, but it lasts for a quite a while. An old detailer trick!

Re: About to pull the Trigger on The Sharkfin ??

I have had ZERO problems with SAT reception. Wouldn't know the difference at all apart from seeing the nice shark fin instead of the goofy whip. Go for it.

Re: new 3.6l pentastar

Check your gas cap. If it says E-85, then you can use E-85. That goes for any car out there.

You will lose about 20% mpg. Given the cost of E-85 right now, you are probably working on a loss...
