Re: Puncture in Tire

Any patched tire has slightly more risk than unpatched tire.

The fact the first patch leaked is suspect that it is a large hole. It's pretty hard to screw up a small patch.

Some tire guys...

Re: turned off Forward Collision Avoidance today

Hmmm, I had not considered icy roads. Good point.

I've yet to have it actively break. A few legit warnings and a few false warnings of someone pulling off the road.

Re: 2016 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I just did a search on Cars.Com and it shows 153 2016's.

But sometimes the dealers may list cars that are still in shipment.

A couple have real photos.

I was really counting on that feature in the 2016 too.

Re: Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID on 2015 JGC not bright enough, especially on turns

My wifes VW CC has these corning lights. They are very nice indeed.
I think they only come on below a certain speed and when the wheel turns enough.
They are dedicated lights for corning. But I'll...

Re: Does your 3.6L Transmission do this

I don't have to do anything. It's just the way it is. It's really no biggy.

To get efficiency, things become more complex. I just installed a 97% furnace and 99% hot water. They are extremely...

Does Overland with H/K radio get noise cancelation

If you add the Harmon Kardon radio option to an overland do you get the Summit noise cancelation?

I prefer the Overland but I like the noise cancelation idea.

Does your 3.6L Transmission do this

I had a 2014 Limited before my current 2015 Overland. Both 3.6L Gas.
The Limited once flashed with good firmware never had another issue. Put 27K on it and it was probably fixed at around 6K.

My...

Re: Jeep buyback program

It is a sale technique. But if you run the numbers you make out quite well.

I did, and may do it again next year.

Partly it works be because the Jeep GC's seem to hold their value pretty well.

Re: 2014 Overland to a Summit

It's not money down the drain. It's not FREE to own the Jeep for 12 months. Figure about $425/mo for a lease (maybe more). So $200/mo was down the drain ($2400.00). Looks like you got a good deal on...

Re: V6 Grand Cherokee...The good and the bad?.

Re: Can I Drive Without My Tailgate Shut?

You might be able to squeeze the gate shut. If you put the seats all the way forward and reclined up there is about 82" from back of seat to gate.

It has to rest on the center console.

You might as well look at an Summit and SRT too ;)

Re: Why I change my own oil, well, one of many reasons...

Well it depends on how many miles you do. I do about 15-20K a year (7500-8500 mile interval).

I would not run conventional oil beyond 5K. But that's my choice.

That's why I would not use a suction method either.

It probably won't make a huge difference though. Most important...

But the Pros outweight the Cons.

There are situations it...

You got it. In NH it's all slapped on real estate taxes which varies wildly by town. I pay $12,000/year !! (no trash pickup, no sewer and no water).

Re: Low Mileage Service Requirements

I'd do the oil once a year at that rate.
I have the same issue with a Kubota Tractor that I only put about 15-20hrs a year on. where a 100-200 hrs a yr is more common.
