Re: The Towing thread

"How" should have been "hold": here's what I posted originally in the suspension/driveline thread:

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I've forgotten all things which are normally locked, but I can now dial the phone using the screen keyboard too, as well as browse and scroll the phone book. All settings and screen scrolling for...

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Just get the bronze pack from Customtronix. No hardware, easy install. But you might still want to ask for the rollback software to get back to OEM.
Thanks,

Thanks Silvermax. I'll start by calling Chrysler Australia, and post their response here.

Re: Jeep service costs

My local dealer (Cessnock nsw) quoted me $700+ for my diesel 40,000km service. I called Artarmon and they quoted something over $1,000. When I asked why they said that the service schedule in the...

Re: The Towing thread

Great information Bob, thanks.
I'm surprised by the range in tyre pressures - especially the 25 psi in the trailer. How did you determine those?

Do you reduce them for corrugated/rough roads? On...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Before talking, Need to wait for the beep after pressing the VR button. Something I often don't, and I use it all the time!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Maybe include at the start a screen shot of the build date sticker - there seems to be some implication that the rules were changed at some point and the VR on
Y disabled for later cars.

Re: Jeep service costs

I just called Waitara for a quote for the 40,000 km service for my 2014 Diesel - $1600 plus (I was so stunned by the $1600 I didn't hear the "plus"!). I said I had been quoted $980 by my Cessnock...

Re: The Towing thread

I just did a very simple test in my my14 diesel overland. Full throttle from stopped gives change up points for the first couple of up shifts (80k zone) at about 3800 rpm in "normal Eco" mode. In...

Re: The Towing thread

Same here - to level out the camper. It's hard to imagine that there's anything wrong with putting it in either way. Mine just did a few thousand km on corrugated
roads in the Kimberley, with no...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Best one I've found is made by Mercedes. 40ml bottle called "SummerFit" windscreen washer concentrate. Not too frothy and cleans well. Costs $4 - $5, and one bottle is more than enough for a jeep...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I use Lexol cleaner followed by Lexol conditioner. Not a premium brand but seems to do the job. Just spent many hours getting Kimberley dust out of the nooks and crannies, and it's come up pretty...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I was one who had a whistle at highway speeds. It only occurred with a trailing throttle. Slightest touch on the pedal and it went away. Told the dealer about it and he said he'd check the turbo...

Here some images of BFG A/T 265/65/18's fitted to a 2014 Overland. At least I hope they appear - some challenges posting them from my iPad.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia
