Although always recommended to disconnect battery when working with vehicle electronics, I would say that is not needed in this case. There is no power going out to the headlights with the vehicle...

Hit media then select aux then go back to cargo cam. The aux audio input is used for audio for the rax jailbreak.

So essentially you could be listening to the radio but viewing your video source...
