Re: Brakes for mild off roading

Here's a good write-up on how-to (http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm) bed your brake pads...This isn't the one that I was thinking of (just did a quick google), but seems to match.

Re: Brakes for mild off roading

Personally, I think a good quality replacement rotor/pads will go a long way; these WK's have decent brakes on them from the factory and like you said, forget about the looks of the drilled,...

Re: 2005 WK 5.7 Limited w/ Qudra Trac II

Hemi only came with QD II (4WD)...I bet it's the front diff fluid...change the fluid (synthetic 75W-140 of your choice) and put in the CORRECT LSD additive (Mopar; there was a recent posting with...

Re: Selling

Ouch, yeah that is crazy! Do you have a Credit Union? Mine will finance something like that for up to 60 months, but it would be ~8.25%, ouch...the only thing is it has to be within the high blue...

Re: Selling

Thanks for the info. From what I've heard (just started doing actual real research), the 05+ had an upgraded rear dif, although I'm sure it's still prone to breakage; especially with a lot of...

Re: Selling

I'm talking about private party...the dealer offered me $14k for it and that's too low...Perhaps $18 is a little high, but $16-ish shouldn't be an issue (private party)...Not gonna give it away for...

Re: Selling

Thanks and it's in pretty good shape and nothing really wrong with it; just I think I made a bad decision in the *type* of vehicle realistically at this point and day to day. I wish I could keep it...

Re: Selling

You may have missed the pic [edit] above :) It's silver...It has just a hair over 55k and probably ever option (limited 4x4) except rear dvd and thought maybe $18-18.5k would be a fair price?

Yeah, I have a good idea of the value of both respective vehicles, but I have no idea the true selling dollar amounts and time it's taking these days. Naturally, a lot depends on the vehicle in...

Seems like Chrysler sometimes uses a 0 (zero) in front of their part numbers online, but it is not contained in the actual part number; maybe it's something like that?

Re: My MPG is embarrassing to mention.

Yeah, I briefly considered a 2010 Genesis Coupte R-spec (2.0 T 6-speed) and it was a nice vehicle, good mileage and fair price (~$24k), but it was a little small for my current needs [be a great...

Re: My MPG is embarrassing to mention.

For the GTO guy...these things aren't like the 'goat' as far as minor differences in mpg the faster you go. I *can* get low 20's on the WK IF I maintain a 60-65 mph speed; go 80 and it drops down to...
