Well when I restored this beauty I had the chassis sand blasted to gain a consistent finish Zinc primed then powder coated......

This was done 8 years ago now and each new owner contacts me to say...

Just had to say a big thank you for the tip of using the copper to plug holes. Had to do that yesterday and flattened a bit of 1 1/2 water pipe and plugged the hole a treat....

The ride is really good now. An extra inch width I think made a lot of difference to the flexing of the sidewall. There is no noticeable noise increase at all.
