Re: Consumer Reports Drops Grand Cherokee Recommendation

LOL!! Whatever makes you feel better and helps you sleep at night.

As for your, 'Case in point'. How does that prove anything other than you can't afford a more expensive vehicle?

Re: Guy has a lemon Jeep Grand Cherokee, makes a video about it

This video did not deter me from purchasing a Jeep this weekend but, when I was looking at the JGC's, the song was playing in my head.

And again when I was signing papers for another vehicle.

Re: Would like some confirmation on lease figures, please

Don't know if this is the right place to post - As I couldn't get the deal I wanted with an Overland or Summit, I went and leased a brand new '16 Range Rover to go with my '00 Jeep Cherokee.

I'm...

Re: Would like some confirmation on lease figures, please

Wow, you did well for yourself; esp being it's a 24 month/18k.

Mind if ask if you put anything down?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Would like some confirmation on lease figures, please

Hey man, thanks for your reply. I walked away from the JGC at the moment, because a mid-$600 lease payment is ridiculous for a $50k vehicle, esp with the '16's on the horizon. Had they come down to...

Re: Would like some confirmation on lease figures, please

Geez, where are you guys getting these great lease deals? I went to Koon's in Tysons (VA) and about another dozen dealerships in the area (MD) and have been getting quoted between, $640-$715/month...

Re: Pay close attention on that walkthrough!!

Great post and you are by far the most objective poster in this thread. People actually defending these issues and saying, it's not a big deal, the colors are so similar and blah, blah, blah, excuse...

Re: Pay close attention on that walkthrough!!

Don't get me wrong. I love the new JGC and can't wait to pick mine up soon. However, I deliberately waited almost a year from its release for the sole purpose that all the, 'kinks and bugs', will...

Wow. At an absolute loss for words. No consumer should ever have to deal with that; hope it gets resolved soon.

Sorry to hear about your issues with Jeep's shoddy craftsmanship. Jeep QC at its finest.

That is effing hilarious. I'm fwd'ing this on to editors at some car blogs I know.

Re: Need Advice - ORA Package or Not for Overland V6?

Thank you, gentlemen.

Great advice, Visitador. Will look into it now. Perhaps I will stick to the 20" wheels and add the skid plates at a later date.

Ahh, thank you for clarifying. I'm glad I asked.

Re: Need Advice - ORA Package or Not for Overland V6?

I'm pretty sure you get the Quadra Drive II and Hill Descent control too. This I believe is standard on the V8, but being that I'm going with the V6, it's more of a bonus to have for off roading.

Need Advice - ORA Package or Not for Overland V6?

I've narrowed down my choice to the 2014 JGC Overland V6 w/Tech - Over the Summit V6/V8/CRD.

Now, the last option choice which I hadn't even considered until a few days ago is the...

Lawyer up. Seriously. That's the only way you'll get a buyback in this case.

Glad to wait to order as these problems keep arising on the 14's.

Re: Summit vs Overland Questions

I've been going back and forth between the two. For now, I've settled on the Summit because for not much more money, you get a slew of (some, not needed) amenities, esp the H/K sound system.

Re: O/T - If Considering a '14 JGC V8, but Worried About Gas Mileage - Quick Fix

Re: O/T - If Considering a '14 JGC V8, but Worried About Gas Mileage - Quick Fix

Good question as I very carefully went over the numbers before pulling the trigger. You can sell a used Prius, even with high miles, generally over their depreciation rate.

I come out better a...

Re: O/T - If Considering a '14 JGC V8, but Worried About Gas Mileage - Quick Fix

No arguments from me in that respect. But, let's face it, no one buys these things for their looks. Pretty comfortable with a lot of features and space too.

O/T - If Considering a '14 JGC V8, but Worried About Gas Mileage - Quick Fix

I'm still debating between an Overland or Summit and V6 or V8; Most likely will go with a Summit V6, simply because of H/K sound system and better gas mileage, respectively.

However, should you...

Re: $1000 Conquest Bonus Cash on 2014?

When Conquest cash is available for 2014 JGC's, will it be applicable to something like the DC Area group buy? i.e. the $1k in addition to the 7% off invoice?

Just asking.
