Re: Tranny temp with scangauge on 5.7

Depending on the type of driving you are doing and the ambient temperature, this sounds reasonable.

I was always told to drive at least 30min before checking trans fluid level, if wanting to...

How do you know if you've been hit with the N23 recall bug?

I believe this forum is for jeep owners of all types, not just those that spend half their time in 4Lo. No need to be condescending when people are looking for advice.

[Edit: I have removed...

Re: Need advice with possible transmission issue!

It certainly sounds like it could be the torque converter.

There is a long-standing debate as to whether it is worth just changing the torque converter without changing the transmission and...

Re: high idle like due to PCV hose disconnection

It's hard to tell, but I think the part number is this one (based on your description of its location):

53032617AD 1 EV0 TUBE, Crankcase Vent To Intake
Manifold

If not, it could be:

Re: Exterior Front Door Handles Removal?

The window regulator and actuator rods have to come out first, then you should be able to access the three bolts in question.

Regulator comes out as follows:

1. Remove the trim panel from the...

Re: P0700 code

Nice to know after all these years with problems with those 545rfe spin-on filters, they still are having difficulties!

Glad everything worked out for you, and it was such a simple and...

Re: P0700 code

After re-setting and/or re-flashing, the adaptive shifting schedules on the transmission were likely erased.

This usually causes a noticeable change in the way the tranny shifts, and is...

Re: 2006 wk 2098 code keeps comeing up

A 2-trip fault means that the computer must detect the problem in two consecutive trips before it sets the check engine light. If it only detects the problem once, the code is "pending" - that is,...

Re: more on my mystery rattle.....I am stumped

^This. I had nearly identical symptoms (a metallic noise when cold right around the 3000rpm range, not duplicated in park or netural). Went up and down the exhaust with a rubber mallet looking for...

Re: Storing WK for 3 to 7 months...I have questions.

That'd work too to keep the battery charged.

I would still add the fuel stabilizer. That tank of gas is going to sit for months, and it typically begins to degrade over a span of a few weeks....

Re: Storing WK for 3 to 7 months...I have questions.

I would also add a fuel stabilizer to prevent it from going bad and disconnect the battery.

Re: hood alignment

Had a look and snapped these this evening. Lighting wasn't great, but I think it gets the job done.

Certainly looks like it may be slightly off. I tried to get it at the same angle as your pic...

Re: What Is This Noise?

Hard to tell over video (and I am by no means an expert!), but to me it sounds like it could be a number of things:

My first guess would be brake related, although since the video is shot from...
