Re: Should I let my 3.0 warm up?

We have a 5500lb travel trailer and tow with our GC diesel and get at least 15mpg highway at 65ish. The 8spd gearbox puts the motor at the torque sweet spot at highway speeds. Also, no trouble...

Get in the car, start it up, put on your belt, check your mirrors and then just drive off. Keep your right foot "under control" for the first few miles and you will be just fine

Re: Any advice for those who are driving in subzero temperature.

On our JGC Diesel, internal (cabin) warm-up time is pretty quick, the seats and steering wheel are VERY quick to heat up. However, the engine/tranny warm-up time will take longer than a gas engine.

The correct way to check your oil is to wait overnight, pull the dipstick, wipe it off and then insert again. Pulling it out to check it again will then show you your actual level:thumbsup:.
