Re: Regular unleaded in the 2014 SRT

I remember back then Sunoco 260 had an octane level of 102. Along with lead added. Worked great in my then 1970 Camaro SS 396-375. Anything less than 98 octane and the engine made all kinds of...

Re: Any new July incentives?

I got some info in the mail which gave a $1,500 rebate on a 2014 diesel WK2. Also $500 rebate on gas models, including the 2015's.

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

You must mean $5.00 per gallon since in many places in the US, its been over $4.00 for months now.

The rear liftgate is supposed to open with 2 clicks on the liftgate keyfob button, PERIOD

It's not supposed to require 1 touch of the regular door unlock keyfob button first before opening the...

Re: Wheel lock question

Boy, that's one ugly looking wheel lock. I'd rather have the standard lug nut in place of that thing.

Re: Windshield washers

IF they were made properly, they should be good for at least 10 years. But Chrysler goes with the low bidder on parts, so what do you expect.

Re: Regular unleaded in the 2014 SRT

But it depends on how they come up with that octane level in Australia. Different countries figure it different ways.

If you want a vehicle with good quality control, you don't buy a Chrysler product.

Re: Locking wheel lugs Useless?

I used Mopar #82212567 locks on mine. I believe they are the same size as the 82210879's. They sure look the same when mounted on the vehicle.

Re: Honk, honk, honk - HELP!

Rain would be nice but we haven't seen rain out here (CA) since a few drops that maybe got the ground moist. And that was back in January. But hopefully the touch system in the door handle is faulty.

Re: Windshield washers

It would be nice if they at least painted the 2 hood mounted w/s washers to match the body color. Really, how much could that possibly cost?

Re: 2014 build quality

+1. Problem is, it will never happen. Their too concerned with building and shoving these things out the door as fast as possible.

It's certainly adjustable. But most dealers don't have a clue how to do it. The inside upper panel needs to be removed to gain access to the bolts. Mine was corrected at a body shop at Chryslers...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee AC is yours cold?

My 2014 definitely doesn't get as cold as my previous 2012 did. I don't know what they changed but I'm sure it was done to cut costs.

Re: Does anyone know what this is / does?

I believe your tech is wrong. The outside ambient air temp sensor is behind the front grille. However, I don't know what that thing is but the V8's (5.7 and 6.4) also have that thing.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - Features & Changes

I fear there will be no V8 option and will be downsized to a more powerful turbo V6 in the next redesigned WK2. The current V6, I feel is underpowered for the current 5,000 pound plus WK2.

Re: tip on WK2 pinch weld adapter for floor jacks

I've used a hockey puck with a cut in it but from the mighty weight of the WK2, its just about sliced the puck in half. I wonder if wood will do much better? Maybe a chunk of oak?

Re: Auto Mirror unfolding above 10mph not working?

I believe they automatically fold out on countries that require them to. The USA doesn't require such due to plenty of wide streets to park on. Unlike the narrow streets in many other countries.

The X5 is in the same size class as the WK2 which when comparably equipped runs $15 -20K more. Certainly not the X3.

Re: Removing Cargo Cover

Just kind of be careful that the end doesn't strike the side window and shatter it. I saw that happen at a dealership when a saleperson was showing the removal process to a customer.

Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

Thanks for the correction. My neighbor had a 2012 Summit and he definitely had chrome Summit wheels. But he probably got those after he got the vehicle.

Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

The wheels kill it for me. I like that the 2014 Summit comes with totally different 20" wheels than past Summits that had the old style 5 spoke wheels. To many 5 spoke wheels out there already.

Re: Overland looks better than Summit for 2014?

Re: Summit - V8 Hemi - Fuel choice

I bet even when the WK2 is at the end of the assembly at JNAP, they just put regular 87 octane fuel in whether its a V6 or V8.
