Re: Check your lug nuts!

A mod should go through the earlier posts in this thread and edit them so people don't just read the first page and torque to 95 instead of 110.

(Probably not a huge deal, but err on the side of...

Re: Accelleration in the v8 vs v6

Jeep's website shows 280 hp @6400 and 260 lb/ft @ 4800 for the V6. (only place I could find it is in the 'compare models' section and 'build your own'). It lists 357 hp @5800 and 390 lb/ft @ 4200...

Re: Accelleration in the v8 vs v6

I saw a post about that after I'd typed my reply here. But, is it truly confirmed? I tried to check the mopar.com parts lists, the '12 torque converter has no price or availability, while for the...

Re: K&N's Dyno chart

I was thinking about that, too, after I posted. Most dyno graphs don't show useful information below around 2500 RPMs. I just did some reading, and dynos apparently have trouble at lower RPMs, so...

Re: 2011 jeep gc overland blown hemi engine

Re: Accelleration in the v8 vs v6

Since nobody else corrected the earlier comment:

The "new 6 speed" in the JGC is EXACTLY the same transmission as the "old" 5 speed. It's also strongly suggested (might have been confirmed?) that...

Re: K&N's Dyno chart

It appears to be a very significant loss of torque at lower RPMs. Dropping off steeply below 3100, and is nearly -40 lb/ft at 2600.

The gains are mostly above 4500. How often do you rev past...

Re: KUMHO tires made in Vietnam

We'll see how that holds up when they get a fair number of miles in the right side column. Recent feedback is hinting at a short tread life - tires that do very well for the first few thousand miles...

Re: EVIC Gas Mileage Accuracy

Another thing everybody should realize when calculating mileage: Your odometer is not 100% accurate, either.

Use a GPS based odometer if you want really accurate MPG calculations.

Re: WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

Be sure to report back here next August when the temp hits 55C, I'm quite curious what will happen. :) That's some intense heat, I hope the Jeep can handle it in stride.

E550 vs Overland

No, this isn't a comparison.

My folks just picked up a 2008 E550. It's loaded to the sunroof, seems to have every option. Very nice car. They picked it up for $28,000, which seems very very...

Re: WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

Steam? If your engine is steaming, then that's a bad, bad sign. If you just mean the visual effect of very hot air distorting the light, then that's fine but isn't steam :P :)

I keep seeing mention of the '12 being less capable, regarding the lack of the rear ELSD.

If I am getting ORAII, there's no difference between the '11s and '12s in this detail, right?
