Mine is doing the same thing, not sure if its an issue though, would be more worried if a tech looked at it. The TSB for PCM did help with the 30 to 40 shifting bang.

I don't think they stick out too far, they do allow access to the roof but given how the car is shaped its still somewhat difficult. The car doors angle inward near the bottom of the doors. Meaning...

Was the sloshing sound the only reason to replace fuel tank, or are there other long term issues with tanks without baffling? Could sediment get stirred up and clog pump or filter?

Taking my laredo X in for its first oil change, getting a hitch and wiring harness put on. Also getting the fuel tank swapped out, for the one with baffling.
Hopefully all goes well. Fingers...
