Re: BWoody Sway Links - A new potential problem

I have the same problem. The links where installed and torqued properly. I had my dealer replace one because it had deteriorated so badly. I also want to go back to the stock links. Any news or...

Re: Transmission Shudder

I have the 3.6L and have what I assume is the same problem. Only happens on moderate inclines and at approximately 50 MPH.

Anyone else, with the 6 cyl., have this problem???

Re: DVD on while driving

Of course, it's for the passengers. I don't have the rear entertainment option. This way I don't need to talk on long drives...

Thanks Coldcase. You're probably right.

DVD on while driving

Has anyone tried bypassing the parking brake switch, in order to get DVD on main console while driving?
Was thinking of adding a switch to parking brake wiring and wondering what else it might...

Re: How Reliable has your WK2 been? Post up!

2011 Overland V6
2 Months (May build)
2,000 miles

Lost all Sirius presets, once.
Vibration at 50-60 mph. More pronounced on inclines.
Other than that, love this machine!

Re: Who traded in a Jeep for a WK2?

I ordered a 2011 JGC Overland in early May, 2011. The lease was up, on my 2007 JGC Limited, in August 2011. Dealer told me it would take at lease 2 months. It arrived June 22, 2011. I left my...

Fine Tuning 730 RHR

I've read some threads about the sound on this unit. Some stated that it is overwhelming or cluttered. I agree, but after almost two months of ownership, I decreased the Bass and Mid-Range to -9...

Re: mud flaps on GC ?

I had them installed. I think the gap on the rear flaps are to keep them away from the exhaust. They don't look bad. But, the front ones are very low.

Re: Centerpiece for wheel

I installed mine myself. I can't see one just falling off, you really have to press them in. So, either the dealer did not push it in all the way, or it was removed my someone.

Dealer should...

Re: V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

Haven't noticed it in the last couple of days! Just as Danno85 mentioned, it just went away. Will post if it reoccurs.

Thanks for everyone's comments!

Don't you just love this machine!!!

Re: V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

I agree! It's an incredible vehicle for the money and we (Canada) pay roughly $10,000 more than what you pay, in the US, for the same vehicle.

I did think that by buying later in the model year,...

Re: V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

I thought the transmission updates were only for the Hemi? Will bring it up with my service manager tomorrow morning.

Re: V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

No, it's like a very high speed vibration (almost like a droning). Barely detectable, but it is there between ~50 and 60 mph.

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

Thanks, that's what it felt like. As soon as I dropped it down a level it was much less severe.

Re: V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

Seems like it's coming from the drive line or diff. But, may be resonating to the rear from the transmission.

Is yours also nearly undetectable?

Thanks,

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I noticed it while off roading last weekend. But, only did it at highest QL setting, over rough terrain.

V6 Vibrations at 50 to 60 MPH

I know there have been threads on the 5.7 shudders. But, not sure I've seen any for the 3.6. I noticed a very slight vibration, almost like a droning. Have only noticed it between 50-60 MPH. If I...

Re: WK2 Hemi vs V6 MPG Compilation (results inside)

Re: WK2 Hemi vs V6 MPG Compilation (results inside)

Did mileage estimates on my V6 today. Will save at least $1,500 a year in gas. Price for Hemi +$2,000 and we are also dinged, here on our license plates, for large motors (Quebec). So, first year...

I agree, nothing like a clean black vehicle. I had a 2005 Laramie and a friend used to say (when it was clean), it was like it was the only vehicle in the parking lot.

It sure is nice shopping...

Re: WK2 Hemi vs V6 MPG Compilation (results inside)

No, I am basing the numbers on the EVIC. When I filled it, it was giving me a DTE of 454 miles, I'm at ~5/8's of a tank with odometer at 255 and DTE at 275. Next tank will be manual calculations...

Re: Alpine Premium System for Jeep WK2

Thanks for that. Too bad we don't have more control over system. Can only adjust bass, mid-range, treble and balance, fade.

Moosehead, how's your new sound system?

Re: WK2 Hemi vs V6 MPG Compilation (results inside)

Easier than keeping a dark vehicle clean, IMO. Plus in the winter, road salt doesn't show up as much.
