Re: Stall after start

I'm still a month without my Jeep. TIPM replaced, WIM replaced, but I think it's a different issue. Reliably starts now, but still major problems with key recognition. I'll move my comments to a new...

Re: Stall after start

It is a 2011. Yeah - WIN was replaced 2 weeks ago. They thought that was it. Kept happening after that was done. The trick is that it's never a reliable problem. Some days all is well, and some days...

Re: Stall after start

Same here. Long start, won't recognize keys, etc. I've manually started it about every other day for 2 weeks.

Finally diagnosed as a new TIPM today - but same deal. Backordered. In a rental...

Re: Dash Replaced

Yeah. I think the leather on the dash will be a bad idea for them. My lifetime warranty should see me through it, though.

New 730N was ordered yesterday. I'll be interested to see if they come...

Dash Replaced

Just got my jeep back after the entire dash was replaced under warranty. The heat for some reason caused the leather to curl up in the passenger side and buckle up for around a foot from the front...

Re: I have installed my new K&N noise maker

Best term EVER.

"Look for the new MOPAR Snorkus in a dealership near you."
"Dude, I like the Snorkus, but it's metal so there's 4000 degree Kelvin heat soak."

I could go on and on...

Re: 2011 Overland - Check Engine light

So, the interesting thing that they told me when I was in was that if a condition causes the light to go off, it will stay on until the vehicle clears 3-4 start/stop cycles. If the condition doesn't...

Re: 2011 Overland - Check Engine light

I've got one, but I didn't hook it up. Should have. I would bet that they cleared out the log (assuming one exists) at the same time. If something really was wrong that they lied about, it will pop...

Re: Mopar CAI Installed 5.7 HEMI

My point is that it doesn't matter if it's plastic, metal, wood, or glass. They all will eventually get to the same temperature as the air around them. Metal will be faster to get to that temp, sure....

Re: 2011 Overland - Check Engine light

Nope - it was a fouled plug and misfire on cyllinder 2. It ran really rough on the way home. Of course, it cleared after I pulled it into the service bay. I'm at 28,800 miles, so did the plug change...

2011 Overland - Check Engine light

Came on on the way home. No messages, no other indicators, and no real difference in the way it drives.

We'll see what happens when (if) I make it to the dealership in the AM.

Re: Mopar CAI Installed 5.7 HEMI

ANY material will come to equilibrium with engine bay temps. Doesn't matter if it's metal or not. When I did the bwoody experiment, even after 45 minutes - in the summer - in Georgia, there wasn't an...

Saw an SRT8 yesterday.

And now I'm over it. It just looked really odd to me. It just didn't look right. I can't explain it, but I really just had an adverse reaction to it. It just looks out of place and like an 18 year...

Re: Mopar side steps installed pics

I've been struggling with the decision between these and the rock rails. The rock rails are overkill for my needs, but they sit tighter to the body, which I like.

It could be the vehicle "learning" your driving style. I had the same issue (bought mine used), and it went away in around 1K miles.
