Re: Hello and need advise about JKU Sahara

Did you pull the trigger on getting the GC yet? Looking at what you're looking for it seems to be a better bet. I have a GC and was test driving Wrangler's (possible replacement for another car)....

Re: Pentastar aftermarket bolt-on intake

Neither an intake nor manifold will do anything for the valves, it will only provide more air. However the computer will adjust for the extra air, and dump more fuel, so you'll get more hp but not...

Re: Are both side mirrors supposed to auto dim?

You can tell if you have auto dimming outside mirrors if notice the perimeter of the mirror (about 1/4 inch I think) is brighter than the rest of the mirror. You can see that with the power off in...

Re: Limited vs Overland

The Overland is an awesome trim model. However I specifically tried to stay away from the quadralift so I dumped the idea of a 4 wheel drive option so I wouldn't get it. My neighbor had Land Rover...

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

How does the chrome plastic turn to crap? I don't think I've ever seen this. Does the plastic flake off or something?

Re: Summit - too much chrome?

I agree. I'm normally not a chrome person. I saw a chromed out red Wrangler and thought it looked disgusting. I thought the Mineral Grey Overland would be missing something without it though.

Re: Looked at New Durango and New Explorer

Its front wheel drive and based off the Taurus chassis. Definately a crossover by any definition.

Re: Add driving lights to WK2's two open spots in bumper?

I can't see why the area between your headlights and car need to be lit up. The headlights hit the road pretty close to the car, you probably won't be able to see that part of the road anyway due to...

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

I got it working. I think you're right, it just doesn't load up from the satellite sometimes. I think you have to be zoomed out all the way to be able to see the fronts.

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

The RHR. The dvr like function is access using the repeat button when its on a satellite station.
To make some artist or song a favorite, touch the icon with the note with the plus sign on it that...

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

The remote start will still allow you to use your drivers settings, and easy entry feature. Once you get inside and hit the start button again, the seat moves back to your driving position.

Re: Power fold-away

I just want them because I want another button to push that does something. However, I once backed up and my passenger side mirror caught a small tree and just simply folded backwards rather than get...

Re: What options on your GC did you discover weeks after?

I found a couple of new features with the 730N this week. There's a DVR like repeat function for live music. You can set songs or artists as a favorite and you'll get an alert anytime they're playing...

Re: Add driving lights to WK2's two open spots in bumper?

The OEM fog lights are "wimpy" because they are fog lights. Fog lights are not supposed to be as bright or brighter than your headlights.

Re: Heated Steering Wheel?????

The whole wheel is heated, so there's no damage to the leather part of it (Overlands only have wood on the top of teh wheel).

Re: Looked at New Durango and New Explorer

I was torn between the GC, Durango, and Explorer. I was impressed with the new Explorer until I saw it in person. I can't put my finger on it, but something doesn't look right. Even the top of the...

Re: Durango vs. Grand Cherokee

I was torn between the Durango, Explorer, and the GC and drove all of them and did some extensive research. I drove 2 of each model, and I noticed the GC and Durango steering felt pretty solid (I...

Re: Software Updates to the RHR

I loaded software version 2.120 yesterday and was playing around with cool Weather Map. I'm able to see radar, but no fronts. In fact the front icon is even greyed out. Anyone else notice this? Is...

Re: Fog Light Usage

I concur.

I don't see how its physically possible to get blinded by an OEM fog light. The power output and the physical position is lower, and even their physicall size is smaller. Even if the...

Re: Disabling the Disclaimer for Nav Radio

My Honda's disclaimer forces you to wait about 5-10 seconds before the "accept" button is even available. If you don't hit the accept button it just shows you a giant clock. Ironcially, instead of...

Re: Minor interior trim / fit issues - normal?

I wouldn't call it normal and I'd say something to the dealer. Whenever I notice things like that, even though its minor, it really bothers me since I stare at the dash more than another part of the...

You mean its possible to misuse a fog light? You are aware that some cars don't even allow you to turn them off when the headlights are on right?

Count me among those who are misusing my stock...

I can't believe this is an actual thread. Is this thread really serious? 4 pages of this thread so far to discuss if fog lights hurt other drivers eyes and if they're considered rude and when and how...

Re: 1. Software Update MyGIG RHR-RHW-RHP Units / Version 2.120

Two of the dealers in my area told me the same thing. Is it me or is changing out an entire radio just to get the software updated seem a bit overkill? The first dealer even claimed they updated my...
