Re: WK2 or Wrangler Unlimited for Family

I have both. With children, the WK2 is the only reasonable choice, for safety reasons.

Maybe it's a 2-door vs 4-door thing, maybe it's the 4.10 gears, but while I wouldn't want to go on a 1000...

Re: 2014 rubber molding coming off below windshield

Performance and features being equal, you pay an enormous premium for the "bulletproof" fit and finish of an Audi or a BMW.

While I'm not suggesting you accept this defect, my experience has been...

Re: Do custom orders normally take this long?

Sounds like your dealer didn't code it as "Priority 1-Sold Order".

Most likely it's the standard "Priority 99-Whenever" scheduling.

Re: Rubicon Hard Rock JKU vs Sahara Altitude JKU

Then I would highly recommend getting a Rubi with 4.10.

The difference in driving, especially acceleration from a stop is very noticeable vs the 3.73 gears on the Sahara.

Just remember you...

Re: Rubicon Hard Rock JKU vs Sahara Altitude JKU

Are you going with an auto trans?

If so, get a Rubicon, Hard Rock or not, and 4.10 gears. It'll make it feel much quicker around town.

Re: Buy 15 now or wait for 16?

Get it. Normally, I would advise waiting for a new model year, but in the case of the Wrangler it looks like just color/wheel/sticker changes, and nothing substantial will change.

In fact rumor...

Re: Should I even bother with 2014 Diesel GC?

The extended warranty also covers you in Canada, and speaking from experience, their dealers will see it if you have to bring it in while travelling.

Re: Tire & Wheel Protection Contract?

So much misinformation on this thread.

The tire-rim protection is not limited to the original set of tires, it's not prorated either, so a damaged tire will be replaced with a new tire.

One...

Re: Carplay

Another reason an "agnostic" system from QNX or even Microsoft is preferable to one from Google or Apple is interoperability.

Don't assume an Android or Apple iOS based system is superior to the QNX/Blackberry designed 8.4AN.

Android is frequently unstable, and I've never been impressed with it's less than smooth...

Re: 2016 Wrangler Information Thread

Does that make the only NAV option the 430, or are the rumors of the 8" nav system true? I can't image they'd redo the center stack as production is winding down for the JK.

Re: Ordering new JK: 430n VS. 730n - Opinions?
