Re: Bilstein on back order **SIGH**

WK Bilsteins, front and rear, bought from Tirerack..not sure of the number designation, but they were way to high pressured, with awful rebound control.

Re: Suspension

I had WK Bilsteins and now Koni FSD. The Bilsteins were horrible, and I would never recommend then. very rough and bouncy with poor handling and no feel of control. FSD's are great, outstanding...

Re: Another 5.7L issue.

Perhaps my post was confusing; you are correct that no tune is needed, with an 85mm TB, it is however needed for dialing in A/F on an 87mm, according to the the supplier at Modern Muscle.

Re: Another 5.7L issue.

When I spoke with the Hemi experts at Modern Muscle, they told me to go with the 85mm for street use, as drivability is great all around since the variable porting preserves low end torque. I...

Re: How to make a 5.7 Hemi sound like an actual 5.7 Hemi

To each his own, Jeep 5.7 exhausts/mods (except SRT manifolds) and CAI are all just noisemakers with no performance added, most actually lose low end which makes driving less fun, and uses more...

Re: AFE Momentum GT CAI - anyone tried it?

X2, don't listen to the manufcturers marketing BS, a CAI for the Jeep 5.7 is a total waste of money. I removed mine (AFE II) after a year and found it actually drove worse than stock with a loss...

Re: Air intake upgrade needed?

Your LT tires are not stock size, the diameter is larger, changing the final drive ratio, the same effect as taller gearing. This results in slower accelleration, the effect you are experiencing.

Re: knock when shifting to drive and on decel

Resistance could be sticking caliper. After driving it, pull over and feel each of the wheels, and if one is hot, the caliper is sticking. What engine do you have the idle problem with ?

Re: coil swap

Fronts can be used on either side, and rears can be used on either side, but fronts cannot be put on rear, or vice versa. Also, springs are different for different models due to weight difference,...

Re: Hemi or diesel based on this criteria (Canada)....

Around here gas is much cheaper than deisel, so I'd go Hemi, and with some simple bolt on upgrades the 5.7 pulls notably harder, particlularly at lower rpm than stock. at 110k, mine runs far better...

Re: 2015 WK Tire/Wheel Questions

You can put on any size wheel as long as the bolt pattern and offset is within range. If offset is not correct, do not use spacers, as this is a band aid approach that is unsafe; most shops will...

Re: Another 5.7L issue.

Also, I see you have an 87mm TB. If you are not aware, this absolutely requires a tuner and a dyno / datalogged custom tune. At WOT you will risk blowing up your Hemi running on a stock tune.

Re: Another 5.7L issue.

The catch can is probably full, and when you go full throttle, it is sucking in liquid into the intake. Loss of power is from this, and also the cloud out the exhaust. In the winter temps, the BT...

Re: Suspension issue just had front struts done.

Probably worn front sway bar end links; the mounting holes get gouged out, and cause a clunk over bumps from the backlash. I am about to put on my 3rd set this weekend, as they go bad at about 35k. ...

MY 2 cents on WK Bilsteins. Don't be fooled by the name; of course Bilstein makes excellent shocks, but the WK versions are frankly not a good choice. They are far too rough riding due to the...

Re: Should the computer be reprogrammed when there is a wheel/tire circumference incr

Get a Diablosport Intune with a CMR tune from Hemifever. Well worth the extra cost for CMR, as the canned Diablo tunes do very little.

Re: 2015 WK Tire/Wheel Questions

Re: if i got a new throttle body....

Re: coolant issue

Carquest sells Xerex also and the G-5 is good for 150k. THis is OEM equiv. and uses propylene glycol, which does not mix with ethyene glycol, used in most other coolants.
