Re: Summit grill installed on my 14

I think it looks great. Everyone seems to be into the "blacking out" thing, but I prefer the look of chrome and stainless steel. Looks real good with the color of your GC.

Re: Any prior Avalanche Owners? About to purchase JGC

I traded in a 2011 GMC Sierra CC w/ 6.2L for my Hemi powered Overland. There was around 50K miles on my Sierra when I traded it. I am happy to a degree, but also have some regrets. The Sierra for the...

Re: If you were to give up your GC today, what would you get?

I'd get a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali. I love the new look and interiors of them. Plus having a larger SUV would be helpful. Once my lease is up on the Jeep in two years, I fully intend to go this route....

Re: Ready to sart towing with my 2014 LTD

I don't know if you need to do any of that break-in as you described. I towed within 2,500 miles on my Jeep and never had any issues. Of course I have the Hemi. My boat/trailer is around 4,000lbs, so...

Re: 2015 Tahoe????? No thanks! WAY overpriced compared to grand cherokee or durango

I guess I'll be the one who disagrees. I have been in the new Yukon's/Tahoes/Silverado's/Sierra's and I don't really see or feel much of a difference in the Jeep's vs. those. I actually really like...

Re: Drove a 2014 Toyota Highlander today, my thoughts vs the WK2

OP, if you are looking for an SUV with 3-rows of seating, and with the third row large enough to handle adults, you should look at the GMC Acadia/Chevy Traverse/Buick Enclave. My wife and I have a...

Re: First Impression 2014 BMW X5

No offense, but it looks nothing like a Buick Enclave. I think the Enclave's look pretty good. Much better than the new X5.

Re: First Impression 2014 BMW X5

moosehead, at first I thought you were just trying to bash the X5, so I went to the BMW website and took a look at the new X5. I have to say, you are 100% correct. Soft/plain are the exact words I...

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

I was basing the statements I made from owning the vehicle. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion the MMI in the Audi is more advanced than the Uconnect. The NAV has google earth maps...

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

The off-roading capability was not a factor at all for me. We only travel to our camp two to three times a year, and even that its dirt roads that a car can handle. My primary concern was towing...

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

Setoutguy, you are correct, the Jeep is miles ahead for off-road capability. I didn't factor that into thinking. Lets be honest though, those looking at a Q5 vs. the Jeep aren't looking for off-road...

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

Zybane, I have to disagree that the Jeep blows the Q5 out of the water (can't speak for the Touareg). We leased a 2009 Q5-Quattro, and it was a wonderful SUV. The Jeep is great, no doubt, but to say...

Re: Heated Seats - 2014

I have a 14 GC Overland, and agree completely. The seats get "warm", but take a long while to get there. I thought they weren't working at first. My wife's Acadia Denali seats heat up faster and are...

Re: Lease Rates on 2014 JGC's

Just picked up my '14 Jeep GC Overland 4x4 5.7L about two weeks ago. My lease structure was as follows.

36months, 15K miles/year
$3K down
$567/month

Hope this helps with your decision.

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

The Denali version of the Acadia is real nice. Ours stickered for just above $55K and they dropped it down to $49K. My Jeep stickered for $52K and was dropped to around $47K I believe, so not that...

Re: What was your 2nd choice?

In my case the Jeep GC was actually my 2nd or 3rd choice, but its what I went with. Originally was looking to trade my 2011 Sierra for a new 2014 Sierra, but every GMC dealer I went to wouldn't play...

Re: Towing with my 2014 V6 : wow!

Coolspot, your boat looks like a Regal 1900, am I correct? I have a 2006 Regal 1900 myself, Yellow over Black stripe. I just jot my Jeep GC, but went with the Hemi-V8 to tow with. I debated the V6,...
