Re: HEAVY Towing w/o Class IV tow pack

That is probably why they said you could add it. To make a sale. I was told the same thing when I was buying. Once I put it all on paper (larger radiator, big brakes, alternator, etc) and asked them...

Re: TIPM Recall

 Why? Because they butchered your wiring instead of replacing the module?
Just curious because a coworker (has max care) went in for the repair. They said the TIPM would be replaced under...

Re: More pics....First Off Road experience in the sand..

Good photos! Did you air down the tires at all? The sand looked pretty firm, not like what we have on the eastern USA. With the 20's I have only aired down to 30psi since there is not much sidewall...

Re: Quadra Lift Air Suspension Failure

How do you mean "undriveable"? Did the suspension lose all lift? Only other experience I have had with a failed air system was on a Rover. Yeah, it failed but that just meant it was stuck in that...

Re: DIY- Power Steering Flush

Oh, if you do have the Hemi and are using ATF+4 now is a good time to change your transfer case fluid! You already have the fluid pump out and it takes the same ATF+4!

DIY- Power Steering Flush

I asked the question a while back with no response. So I decided to dig in myself :D
Once I stared at it for a few minutes I figured out a very simple method!
You will need:
Turkey baster (or...

Re: Synthetic oil?

Indeed. For the Hemi, Amsoil does :)
I've beat the $h!T out of motorcycle engines. Used different oils and had them tested. Amsoil has by far beat out Motul and even Repsol. Even if they were not a...

Group III - this is a highly refined mineral oil...

Re: 2012 Overland Brakes

Fact of the matter is, a "warped" rotor is quite rare. Usually it is uneven material transfer from pad to rotor. Stop n go traffic is a big contributor. What Barboots is referring to (I believe) is...

Re: Synthetic oil?

No, those are good questions!
There are no zerk fittings on the GC so no worries there. As others have said, the diff and transfer case are not due until 64k for "severe" service. Also goes by time...

I don't know what the GC is off hand, but both cars and the trailer are $955/ year. We are insured well over the minimum with a $200 deductible/ rental car/ etc. It's USAA though.

There is no reason to wait. There is also no reason to use synthetic if you are only going 4500 miles between changes.

Hmmm. I will have to try that. Although most contacts are listed with the mobile number first already. It is also listed as the primary line.
So, now when you say call mobile it recognizes it?

Re: DIY- 2011 Differential Service/ Fluid Change

I believe that the correct axle lube is 75w90.
For the transfer case, it will depand on which brand of fluid you go with. Make sure that it meets the Shell 3403 spec. Amsoil meets that, the ATF+4...
