Re: winter tire options

Nokian WRG3 tires are a good choice for Northern Virginia.

Re: winter tire options

I'd recommend Blizzak DM-V2's. I basically live in the arctic and Blizzaks are my go to for winter.

Re: winter tire options

Skip the Toyo Open Country AT2 in my opinion. Just removed mine from my Tundra after 44k miles. They still had 50% or so tread but no snow or wet traction. Very disapointed. Wife said she...

Re: winter tire options

The real question is...are you planning to use this set strictly for winter, or will you carry over into other seasons/weather with them? From my experience in the truck world, a MT tire will NOT...

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

The tire size can be corrected by the dealership. Usually for a "small" fee. They simply plug into the OBD-II port and tell the computer the correct size. Everything will then operate as intended,...

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

What? Sounds like these guys are trying to shake you down. I'm going to guess they offered to sell you a set of rims that will work, right?
The lug nut torque specs being different compromising...

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

No HD brakes on mine, but I do have QL. I'm clearing the 255/70/18 (32.1") tires in every ride height. That's mounted on OEM Sahara rims, as photoed above.
The HD brakes won't matter in regards to...

Re: Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Easy way to tell is if you're rear brakes are vented (not solid), you have HD brakes.

And for another option, I went with a set of 18" Sahara rims, so I didn't have to worry about them fitting....

Another WK2 w. Rubicon Wheels

Been a while since I've posted but that is because my Jeep has been bone stock. Just picked up these Craigslist specials. Love the fit and finish! Makes it look much more aggressive. Plus there is no...

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Since this is a learning experience for me, I have real silly questions.

Can I get away with 275/65/r18?

I would like to go as big and rugged as possible without issues.

I pretty much want...

Re: Question about Goodyear DuraTrac

Duratrac 275/65r18's fit fine with Quadra-Trac II suspension. No problems in turning or driving in normal ride position or ECO mode. Very pleased with tires, they aren't as noisy as I expected, and...

Re: Duratracs and Mopar offroad wheels on a 2014

Thanks. Completely changed the look, much more sporty and aggressive looking. The 275/65r18 Duratracs were such a tight fit they fooled the tire shop install guy who swore they would rub. They do not...

275/65/18 Duratracs on Mopar Wheels!

They are tight but fit with no rubbing on any quadra lift setting.
