Just got a call from the dealer - they confirm that it was not working for them either this morning.
They unpaired the iphone 4S, and now swear that voice commands are working perfectly for NAV,...

Yeah, I was really hoping for a "Quadra-Drop" mode, particularly with the Track setting for improved handling - and as Moose says above, you would still have more abilities than a permanent drop....
