Re: 2011 Overland aftermarket amp and speakers

If you already replaced the HU, for sure get rid of that crappy OE Alpine amp (and speakers). Start adding your own aftermarket amps and speakers, and use the RCA outs on your Kenwood.

Re: My Experience with E85 and V6

The only station near me sells it for 18 cent less than E10. Thus, I will never try it.

Re: 2014 JGC limited 4 channel

Install it after the amp. The instructions state this. I've used the LC6i in Chrysler Alpine, and now using it in Chrysler Boston system. Since you have the Alpine system, you'll need to sum 6...

Re: Black jeep with red wheels

On that truck, with those tires, it doesn't look too bad. On a stock WK2, it will look bad.

Re: Sneakers

Nitto Crosstek are an all-season -- with beefy-looking sidewall biters. They look like A/Ts from the side, but the tread pattern is mild (all-season). They are exclusive to NTB. You have to get...

Re: Is it me, or does something not look right. . .

Correct or not, they look horrible. Are they really necessary? I think they'd steal the whole Jeep before your wheels. Even with locks, they can still get them off if they really want to.

Re: Recommended Oil and Filter for 3.6

Use any oil according to your manual (follow specs and change intervals), and you'll be fine. I've been using Wix/Napa Gold filters, and they have been working great.

Re: Rubicon wheels on grand cherokee

$500 is a steal. The sets I've seen are all $1300 or greater.

Re: How do I add a sub and amp to 2014 jgc

You don't have to lose anything. Buy a LC2i, and tap into your existing sub signal for input to the LC2i. That will provide RCAs for your aftermarket amp.

Re: Losing faith - Jeep in Shop for several issues

I'm very pleased with the outcome. The dealer called me at 4:30 yesterday. All items were replaced/fixed -- including new rear self-leveling shocks. I'm very surprised they got it all done in 1...

Re: Losing faith - Jeep in Shop for several issues

To be fair, I've now kept the Jeep longer than most of my previous vehicles. That figures -- the one I decide to keep has the most issues. Luckily, my dealer is excellent at sales and service. My...

Losing faith - Jeep in Shop for several issues

My Jeep is back in the service bay for several issues. I bought it new in Dec, 2011. The first 18 months were trouble-free...loved it. Last summer, the torque converter had to be replaced -- which...

Re: 2014 jeep grand cherokee adding a sub

Turn your gains down? What kind of box? SAs prefer ported (only). PAC makes some sub-par devices. I would have went with AudioControl for LOC.

Re: New Everything...

Pick a theme, and stick with it. If you want an "off-road" look, go with 18" wheels & ATs or MTs. If you want a "street" look, go with 20s, and A/S rubber. You can black out with Altitude parts,...

Re: Cold Air Intake for 2011 Laredo 3.6L

"Retaining" more dust is good. Some claim they let more in, and some have UOAs to prove it. Others have UOAs to prove K&N filter just fine. It all depends on the application. In general, I pick...

Re: '11-12 fog light appearance upgrade?

What makes '13 different?

I think black looks fine. If you paint, they will be prone to rock chips. The black w/chrome ring looks good also.

Re: Installed an Airaid Cold Air Intake

I noticed that also, but figured it was there for a reason. It will also block water/snow in the case of storms. It seems it would allow more air without it, but a little worried about water.

Re: Installed an Airaid Cold Air Intake

I've had mine on for 2+ years. It's a nice kit for the money. There weren't any "full" kits out when I bought mine. I probably would go with aFe now. I also have a Synthamax filter (on my K&N...

What I meant was, the LC2i doesn't need a remote trigger either? It has the GTO Signal Sensing (Great Turn-On) -- which powers up the unit when the signal is present. No big deal. It works either...

Re: Is screen protector needed for Nav system?

It was a few years ago. I tried searching, and couldn't find it on ebay. Since Zagg has one, and it's even cheaper, I'm going to try it. With the ebay one, you had to get it perfect on the first...

Re: Best Speaker/SQ Upgrade for under $500? 2012 Grand Cherokee w/factory sub

They are not going to sound significantly better in a few days. Those speakers need an aftermarket amp, and a full-range signal feeding that amp. Otherwise, you might as well stick your stockers...
