Re: It's Official, I Regret My Purchase

Yes, I followed this thread religiously for the longest time and it would be interesting to know the final chapter. I hope things worked out well?

Re: What tires are you running for the winter?

I bought an additional set of 18" wheels and had blizzaks installed. They work incredible in the snow and ice.

You don't want to keep them on the vehicle longer than necessary because they wear...

Re: AWFUL rattle under seat or center console.

It is so difficult to find where rattles come from because of the echos in the vehicle.
My sunglasses always rattle while in the holder and it always sounds like it is coming from somewhere else. I...

Re: Having Air Conditioning (HVAC) Issues

I was looking for another thread where someone mentioned that they could never turn off their air conditioning.

I have been experimenting a lot with mine because I feel that it is always activated...

Re: what to do with my WK2 stock wheels & tires?

I paid $1100 for a near new set last winter so I could mount winter tires on them. Post them on the for sale section here and you might be surprised.

I can never get mine to turn off either. I'll try switching it around as suggested but I'm pretty sure I've tried all of those things before. It is controlled by software so who knows what kind of...

Re: Tire pressures holding

Mine have held pressure for 6 months now. Never had to add any air. Do the soapy water thing and find the leak(s).

Re: What if you pulled into a rest area...

The answer is no. The sensors can detect whether the fob is inside the car or outside. Try locking your keys in. The door locks won't lock. I trust it 99.9% ;-)

Re: Quadradrive over quadralift?

I should think that you would want the 18" wheels with the more larger rubber in the sand. The 20" wheels wouldn't be as good right? Lower profile tires are not good on sand.

Anyhow, QD II is the...

Re: Ventilated seats

Absolutely love mine. On a hot day you won't stick to the seats all the way home like you would without the ventilation turned on. I'm more sensitive to heat so YMMV

Silver and Black. My 2005 was white but I live in the city and don't have a garage so I opted for self cleaning colors this time ;-)

Re: HEMI: Getting +1.5mpg better with use of Regular Unleaded (87).

Could be worth trying out. There is a clear possibility that the software sets up the engine in a less-than-optimal configuration when using a higher octane.

Thanks! I actually learned something today! It sounded reasonable but still I had never heard of this vinyl coating. I did research too and it is really true.

Exactly which BlueMagic leather cleaner and conditioners do you use. Went online to order some and... Well, if I'm going to follow your advice I might as well get the same stuff.

Thanks!

Re: Unsure about snow performance

The Michelin website doesn't even mention snow in the description for the Latitude Tires and their off-road rating is only 4 out of 10.

I like them for dry pavement as they are very very quiet....
