Re: Scratches on Steering wheel

My 04 Overland had a TON of scratches in it when I bought it a couple years ago. I'm guessing the woman that drove it had a crazy diamond-filled wedding band with lots of prongs. There was also a...

Re: --- New Ride, New Wheels ---

Stock on a Summit. Bumpers, flares, side skirts and exhaust are all different than the rest of the WK2 line.

Re: Best Way 2 Lower Summit's QL?

They might do it for you, but say goodbye to the warranty on your quadralift. It's not technically 'designed' to drive around at an inch below ride height. On the highway, you are basically driving...

http://www.jeepgarage.org/f109/lowering-levelling-ql-60895.html

I've heard of maybe one person lowering it with the dealer tuner. Good luck convincing them to do that.

Re: --- New Ride, New Wheels ---

I'm guessing since it can be scratched fairly easily, hitting it with something like steel wool would brush it pretty nicely.

Re: --- New Ride, New Wheels ---

Damnit, now that I know how awesome all that looks, I need to find a way to do the same mods. Glad to finally see a white Summit on SRT wheels.

I've been considering trying to get the lower...

Re: Lowering / Levelling QL

Yes, just do the opposite of what people are doing to lower the front. Raising it to level out the Jeep most likely won't cause any issues unless you are rolling around in OR2 all the time. AAR...

Re: WK2 rear brake turn LED's installed. VLED V3 Triton with pics

I don't quite get Jeep's obsession with crappy brake lights. I'd think with the lawsuit of WJ's catching fire after getting rear-ended, they'd put some insanely bright lights back there. My WJ...

Re: White SRT w/Gold wheels

I like the white/gold look, but I think it'll only look good with a brushed type gold finish and chrome/polished lips. Not stock wheels painted gold.

Re: Can we enable open/close windows with FOB?

Re: Deal or no deal on remaining 2014 overland

Hopefully we'll find out soon. We bought our '14 in March (suckered the dealership into taking a $11.5k down payment on a credit card :D) and we're putting our condo on the market this weekend. ...

Re: A picture of a Jeep in the Dash( what year)

Probably because of your location. If you change the select-terrain dial to something other than auto, the dash shows a jeep driving through the selected media (snow, sand, mud, rocks).

I always...

Re: Brembo Brakes

Bigger brakes will not wear out your bearings faster. Wider, heavier wheels with less backspacing might.

I have it too. The Jeep seems to click all the damn time no matter what I'm doing. It's not all that audible unless I have the windows down and I'm driving near walls, but I hear it a lot while...

Re: 2015 New Overland Purchase

I hope you have lightweight bikes. I got tired of putting my 17 lb road bike on top of my WRX, so I can't imagine lugging a heavy mtn bike or cruiser up on top of an SUV.

I switched to a hitch...

Re: Bumper rebuild Grand Cherokee to SRT

www.justforjeeps.com (http://www.justforjeeps.com) has all the parts.

Re: 2015 Range Rover VS Grand Cherokee (Overland/Summit)

If the RR and Summit both cost over $90k here, I wouldn't be anywhere near either showroom lol. I'd still be driving my 2004 Overland.

Re: 2015 GC - Covert to duel exhaust?

A friend of mine who bought a '15 was not happy about the single exhaust either. I'd guess the '14 V6 catback would fit just fine. And as far as the bumper, I can't find a great picture of the Jeep...

Only a FEW grand? Assuming that's a new SRT, you're talking a $20k difference in price from a traded in Overland haha.

Re: 2015 Range Rover VS Grand Cherokee (Overland/Summit)

A friend of mine had a 2013 RR Sport that he traded for a 2015 JGC Limited. He loved the RR and it was a damn nice vehicle but is perfectly happy in the Jeep with about half the monthly payment.

Re: About to pull trigger on '15 GC Summit. Anything I should know?

Re: Movin on...

Your right leg hits the shifter in the '14+? You must have really long legs or sit really close to the steering wheel.

Re: About to pull trigger on '15 GC Summit. Anything I should know?

Re: 2015 WK2 Summit Poor damping

I don't think this is tire related at all. The suspension is just floaty over crests in the road, very easy to feel while going around corners. When the Jeep comes down off a crest, it takes at...

Re: 2014/2015 LED DRLs - ON or OFF?

Every car should have bright LED DRLs that can't be turned off. So when idiots don't turn their headlights on a desk or in the rain/snow,other drivers can still see them.
