Re: Overland Leather Dash Question

My black/black Overland also had the grey stitching on the dash. It is a June 2011 build.

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I think I finally got rid of my knock. I had the intermediate shaft replaced for a second time, but this time they used the updated part listed in the TSB. So far the problem appears to be gone.

Re: Service Appointment

Mine Jeep is at the dealer right now getting the thud fixed along with the squeaky seat back and some other small issues. This is my second trip to the dealer in two months of ownership and I'm...

Re: Tweaks to improve the JGC

I've had a few Mustangs over the years. Just prior to the Boss I had a 2011 GT500 with the SVT Performance Package. The Shelby looked great and had more bells and whistles than the Boss, but the...

Re: Tweaks to improve the JGC

The Boss is purely a weekend toy. I've had it for about 5 weeks and just now eclipsed the 500 mile mark. Hopefully, I will get out to the track when it cools off around here and see what the Boss...

Re: Tweaks to improve the JGC

I really just want better build quality. My Jeep has had a lot of issues ever since I bought it two months ago. I would be willing to give up things like the auto brights, rain sensing wipers and...

Re: Creaking noise from driver seat where the lumbar support is...

The issue I am having has nothing to do with when I move the lumbar. My seat back makes a crackling noise and I can feel the plastic in my seat when I move around. The problem came up after about...

Re: Alternatives to the overpriced WK2 SRT8

There are 2012 911s out there, but these are carry-overs of the 997.2 that was released in 2009. The all new 911, known by its internal designation number 991, will be revealed later this year and...

Re: Alternatives to the overpriced WK2 SRT8

Having owned two GT-Rs (2011 and 2012) I can tell you that they don't make the best daily driver. The suspension is stiff even in "comfort" mode. Also, there is a lot of road noise from the tires...

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I might have spoke too soon. I felt the thud a few times this afternoon while driving home in the glorious 105 degree temp here in north Texas. It wasn't nearly as bad as before, but there still...

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

It appears that the "new" intermediate steering shaft has cured my issue for now. I have only driven the Jeep about 20 miles since picking it up, but I have yet to experience the same thud/knock in...

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I have noticed that the "thud" in my steering isn't present in the morning on my drive to work until I'm almost there. However, in the afternoons, when it is over 100 degrees, I can feel it right...

Re: 2012 or 2013 SRT8???

I haven't a clue if the SRT will get an 8 speed, but if it does I think it could add a welcomed increase in fuel economy. I have owned an 8 speed Lexus IS-F in the past and it wasn't all that bad. ...

Re: Thud in steering wheel at low speed

I found this forum when I searched this issue. My 4 day old Overland has the same problem. I feel the "thud" through the steering wheel when coming to a stop and also while turning. It doesn't...
