I know that the piston will not sit where it is suppose to normally be. It may increase wear on the shock, in theory.

So far so good. The install was a bit interesting trying to get both the upper and lower connected at the same time. This weekend I'll go back and retorque everything and take some pictures.

I can't speak for a 2" lift but I have a 4" lift and I run 265/70/R17. It nearly rubs on the rear shocks and the bottom of the bumper and rocker panel at full lock. Its a wide and tall tire...

I don't have any ideas beyond changing the maintenance related items such as fuel filter, lubricants, and plugs. Perhaps that was already done.

Running through an issue after lifting my WJ 4" with the automatic transmission. Its a 545RFE tranny and I have the transfer case drop installed.

04 4.7L HO with 545RFE.

I have a leak where the transmission line runs into the radiator. Basically its leaking at the coupling. It would be a easier fix if the lower radiator hose wasn't there....

Just did mine. 2 push in clips went well. Removed them from the old filter and put them on the new. The black quick disconnected needed some love. Used a 10mm open ended wrench to push it in. ...

I am going the mesh route. Probably a gray to match my painted bumpers and side panels. I think black would look good with your paint.

These were the very first thing I replaced on my WJ. I ordered them the day after I bought it since they were nasty (rusty). Once you figure out how to get the first one, the rest are easy.
