Re: Electric problem wj

Will the lights dim when the left steering wheel switch stalk is dimmed completely? If so, I would check for a broken wire in the drivers door boot. Mainly the thick black ground wire breaks after...

Re: 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited 4.7 V8 Quadradrive, No gauges, no start

Still donīt understand how the arching occured. Did the wrench to loosen the terminal nut touch ground?
So did you check the fuses first? The fuel and volt gauge receive their signal from the PCM,...

Re: 2001 jeep grand cherokee limited 4.7 V8 Quadradrive, No gauges, no start

Welcome to the garage.
How did you disconnect the battery wrong?
Either way, i would start checking the fuses for the PCM, since it seems that the PCM is dead (no gauges and no start).
Fuses #6,...

Re: I need help

Welcome to the garage.
Seems that your idle control is not working well. Remove the IAC (idle air control) stepper motor from the throttle body and clean the plunjer and the complete air canal. Do...

Re: Starting issue doesn't start after 2nd start up (video)

It would be strange that it always starts up normally when cold, but wonīt start after being hot, and it being a fuel pump problem. If it was running ok before shutting it down, there will be...

Re: 2006 Liberty trouble starting

Crank sensor would be my first guess, but you changed it already. Also the cam sensor can give same symptoms. Try to put a wet cloth over the sensor when it doesnīt want to start and try again after...

Re: 2002 grand cherokee limited 4.7HO

Welcome to the garage.
Did you check for any fault code set?
That the rpm jumps, is probably due to the torque converter clutch releases.
It could come due to the TPS, but also due to a speed...

The part is the PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation) and its very easy to change. In fact it should be checked/changed regulary, since the PCV system is very important to prevent the formation...

If there is no change in the mechanical noises of the engine, it most probably is the oil pressure sending unit.

Re: 1997 jeep grand cherokee 5.2

Welcome to the garage. I would start cleaning the IAC (idle air control ) stepper motor plunjer and the air canal. If that doesnīt help, most probably the TPS is the problem.

Re: Bogging down around 4-5k

Re: 05 JGC shifting issue

The 3.7L uses the NAG1 transmission. The speed sensors on that transmission are inside and part of the electrical control unit. So not a very easy/cheap fix. I would start by changing the TPS.

Re: Rear SIDE defogger - issue ???

I do think that your suppost window heater is in fact the integrated radio antenna. It is only on one side, isnīt it? This is also the case on the European build WJīs.

Re: 05 JGC shifting issue

Which engine/transmission? Did you already check for any fault code(s) stored? Many times shift issues are caused by the TPS or a bad speed sensor.

Re: 1999 WJ pops thru Throttle body won't start

4 Plugs firing at the same time is indeed strange. The PCM supplies or breaks the ground for the 3 coils, so if two coils fire at the same time (4 plugs), then it almost looks as a PCM problem. This...
