Re: Which drive shaft do I need? Which transfer case do I have?

You clearly have a CV joint at the T case side and not a U joint.
The lower picture has a CV joint on the shaft, so should be for you.
Your T case should be the NV 245, since it has the drive motor...

Re: Transmission over temp issue...is back again

Best is to point the thermometer to the bottom of the transmission pan. Since it is full with fluid, the lower pan skin should have almost the same temperature as the fluid.

Re: Build Thread - Bandit

This is a comon point for the EVAP hose to dry out and crack. If your jeep has the leak detection pump, it would sooner or later throw you a code for EVAP leak detected.

Re: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start - Cranking normally - Sometimes will start

How could it crank normally with a bad battery? The starter is pulling a very high current and if the battery is bad, it will simply not crank the engine or crank it slowly. I understood from your...

Re: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start - Cranking normally - Sometimes will start

Dont bother with the EVAP code for now, that will not prevent the engine from starting.
I would swap the fuel pump relay in the PDC under the hood with the horn relay and see if that makes any...

Re: HELP! How do I remove the starter? 2005 5.7L

Just for those that donīt want (can) spend the bucks on a new or remanufactured starter, you can buy the solenoid and brush block assy as separate parts of e-bay. The commutor, where the brushes make...

Re: P0051 & P0420 DTC's

If you have an android phone, then you can buy a cheap ELM327 bluetooth dongle of e-bay and download the free Torque app. You can then monitor many live data and errase DTC s at any time.

Re: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start - Cranking normally - Sometimes will start

Re: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start - Cranking normally - Sometimes will start

If the engine cranks normally, then that is a sign that the starter relay is ok, so no other tests required on that.
I overlooked the fact that in the title you wrote that it starts sometimes. If it...

Re: 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - No Start - Cranking normally - Sometimes will start

So if it cranks normally, its obviously not a battery problem. First of all, did you check all the fuses?
If all ok, do you hear the fuel pump running for 3 seconds when switching ignition in run?

Re: Parent's 2014 Durango died while driving twice- ideas?

Since the problem seems to be temperature related (doesnīt start after the stall, but after a while it will), it could well be a problem with the crank position sensor.

Re: just filled the tank, fuel gauge only shows half way ?

Eventhough it can be the floater assy itself, it could also be a wiring problem. Some moisture or corrosion in a connector can cause funny readings.

Re: P0051 & P0420 DTC's

Did you buy OEM TPS? Parallel TPS are known to give problems. Did you try moving the wire bundle while looking at the TPS %? Could be an internal wire break which shows up once in a while.
