Re: Something extra I wish my EVIC Screen displayed

I checked my EVIC settings and as I suspected, I already had the current gear set to ON. As you note, it is just so dim as to be useless.
If you turn it off, it honestly doesn't appear to make a...

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

At 30-40 below, I'd be happy to get 10 minutes, not seconds, for engine warmup.

The claim is easy to check with the EVIC, keep an eye on the water temperature and the engine oil temperature.

The Nokian WRG3 SUV is an excellent all year tire.
So is the Michelin MS/2

Neither Nokian nor Michelin would claim either is a match for the favorite of the siberian drivers--factory studded...

Re: uConnect 15.26.1 is buggy; I want to downgrade.

Caution, haven't poked around 100% but the SIERRA_WIRELESS would be a place to start--assuming it doesn't brick your system. The manifest files would likely need editing.

Once you remove the...

Interesting [sorry can't answer your question].

Or does it require buying the...

Re: Something extra I wish my EVIC Screen displayed

Dunno your vehicle, but on my 2014, it does display the gear just to the right of the D.
Unfortunately it does so very very faintly and if you have any kind of sunglasses on, you can't see it at...

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Does anyone recall the first Hemi MDS, and the oil it recommended?

Re: OBD-I Scanners... Worth it?

I was going to suggest hitting EBay for one.

Never needed to delete the log file when re-installing an upgrade.
Current Microsoft will also put a system information file on the usb, it also doesn't seem to care about that.

In order to do this, they would have to put extra files on the stick besides the ordinary ISO image. And spend the money to develop something that would be unique to a given VIN.

For what...

If you have a Discount Tire in your area, stop by.
They usually carry Gorilla, and if they don't have your model in stock, they can get them pretty quickly.

Re: WK2 - New battery type and location

Agreed, suspect is more likely just no good place to put it under a very crowded engine compartment. I wouldn't guess presumed climate control in passenger compartment would be a reason either.
