i had the a simaler problem with my o4 wj, it end up being a body ground strap, if one of the 3 grounds you have is bad it will cause stuff like that to happen, i know somthing so simple can cause...

thanks for the info but, i already knew how the o2's work. i didnt lose power because i relocated the the o2 in the wrong spot, it was a comination of things, like the header wasnt a 2 piece system...

those dam cats..lol. so i have a 04 wj with the I-6, my friend had a header that came of his 95 jeep with six. so i figured i could cheat and get them dam cats out of thier,so i relocated the o2's...

your trans mount is different from the gas wj's, take a jack and try jacking up the trans before the mount and see if it seperates, be careful cause if you jack it up to far you could damage it.....

it could be a # of things, i had a similar problem wiht mine turned out to be the front driver side hub, jack up the front, and try to wiggle it back and forth,make sure you put some muscle behide...

on the 4.7 you'll have to look at it and try and find the line.. on the 4.0 the vacum line is always under the intake manifold...

if you lived closer id sell you sell you a dana 30 that came out of a wreck overland... their really is no upgrade unless you go to a different splined shaft.. best bet get on craigs list and look...

yes my wj with the I-6 did come with 3.55, but i did some upgrades. i took a dana 44 out of a wreck overland and put it in,so i have 3.73 limted slip now. then i found a 3.73 liimited slip carrier...

THE gear lube dosnt come with the additive already in it. just call the dealer and ask them about it...i know this cause i had the dealer rep from varsity brothers help me with my axles...

if you do have limited slip in the front and rear, along with adding gear oil it calls for special friction additive....i know from servicing my limited slip axles.. good luck

the first question i have, is your dana 30 have limited slip... cause if it does then you have to add a special friction addtive, as far as checking if you have a bad diff, well you'll have to tear...

try going to autozone and look for a can of C-foam, and put it in your oil. it may work or not, i have used it for some stuck rings in a big block and it worked.. good luck

i do alot of lift kits, on trucks and jeeps... the best place i found for mud tire and all terrain is, www.tire (http://www.tire) rack.com even with shiping they beat just about everyone's prices,...

sounds like lifters to me, i had a truck that did the same thing....i was told a old trick to clean them up... take and drain all the oil and take and get kerosen or no.2 diesel and fill your moter...

hey i had the same problem with my 2004 wj... i took it to a shop and they also said it was the transfer case, so i switch it out myself and it still made the same noise...so i noticed my cross...
