Re: Sound system: Summit vs. Overland

I haven't heard the stereo in the Summit, but we have a '14 Overland and I feel it's not great. It isn't so bad I feel compelled to modify it, but it's getting there.

Doesn't seem overly clear or...

Re: tool kit suggestions

Not really "off roading", but yah, more remote roads and trails.

Here in the Pacific Nothwest there was a lot of logging and as a result a maze of unimproved roads through the forest.

In...

What spare parts, repair supplies

Hello,

Was interested in suggestions for spare parts and repair supplies for the WK2. I'm thinking in terms of being out in the boonies, limp home kinda stuff.

I'm looking for stuff like fuses...

tool kit suggestions

Thanks for those who have provided suggestions so far.

First off, I don't have a super well defined role for this tool kit. As has been noted, around town, I am more likely to call for a tow. ...

I'm pretty sure it's shadows. When I parked today behind a big hedge they went on right as I pulled in.

Re: Jeep GC recall P14

No, Jeep actually did a recall.

While the parts delay sucks, my read of the recall notice didn't suggest there was any immediate peril.

YMMV.

wipers wipe when cornering

My '14 Overland w/tech has the "auto" wipers feature. Occasionally it will wipe when cornering from a stop light. Any one see this before? Any ideas what is going on here?

Thanks,

Re: Need new wheel/advice on full size spare/speedometer adjustment questions?

275/65-18 is 32.1x11, so look at a 255/70r18 (32.1x10.2) for the spare.

What if your TV turned itself back on whenever you came home? Maybe not a bug, but at least a misfeature.

I made that up as an example. But that's kind of my point. Just saying "misaligned" isn't very specific.

Except what exactly constitutes a "misaligned" body panel? All panels must have exactly 1/16" between them +/- 1/100"? Is an 1/16" space in one area and 1/8" in another OK?

The phrase...

The design, the parts and the assembly all contribute to the end result.

A given part is going to have a specified...
