Re: How to program modules w/o WiTech

That's pretty much the procedure that the Diablo Trinity tuner uses, except it rewrites part of the settings and then prompts you to perform each of those steps.

I'm not sure you can just plug in...

Re: Help with buying 2014 JGC Limited!!

In addition to the dollar differences, Jeep also won't honour the warranty from a US Jeep. Don't ask me why, seems a little bizarre but maybe more manufactures are like that too.

Re: 4Runner Comparison

Then you need spacers; 1.25" looks great. Look at the back of an SRT, cannot possibly think grocery getter. Only real difference there is the wider / agressive stance with wide rims and tires.

Re: 2015 Grand Cherokee - V-8 Or V-6 ??

Or, you know, just maybe purchase price has something to do with it? Cost to replace it or find parts etc? Nah. Probably just high insurance because it's German. :D

Re: Caught On Fire

If you get a recall notice, ignore it, and then get a fire; chances are your warranty is not going to apply anymore (neither Jeep's nor the insurance on the car). Just sayin.

Re: Price increase in Canada

At current exchange it wouldn't be worth it; but I did consider buying new or 1.5 years old in USA and then taking a chance on warranty. I mean when our dollars were on par, the US jeep was at least...

Re: Lifetime extended warranties, do they make sense?

The reason you are feeling the shudder is because of the misfiring, not the transmission. A misfire will give you that jerky feeling power delivery. I've had fishbite symptoms in two other cars, an...

Re: Can't make up my mind!

Are you sure they are lease returns? I would think you have a high change of getting rentals or trade-ins due to issues with the jeep.

Re: It's Cold and the JEEP squeals!

My GM's would have a very soft sound from the power steering; we're talking noticable within 10 feet only. Just a little increase in humming noise. That's acceptable. A harsh squeal that can be...

Re: It's Cold and the JEEP squeals!

I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't buy it. None of my GM's ever squealed like my jeep, neither does any other vehicle (which happen to be all american built) in the near vicinity of...

I don't get how you still believe this after a previous poster points out there is a TSB for the real problem (it's not cold air through a manifold). I don't mean to be rude, but please don't post...

This is a common problem for us north of the border; mine squeals like that too.

"SUV" is too much of a mouthful most of the time. It's also not an SUV, something like the Tahoe, Suburban etc is what I always think of when I hear "SUV". Also sounds a bit pretentious, or like...

So you think this whole cheap gas thing is going to stick around, huh? It's temporary, and you can bet the price will go up again so high it will make you beg for triple super-charged 4 bangers

Re: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee REFRESH

Yes, that's my point. The 14 shifter is a bad design, it gives you something that moves without being helpful in terms of feedback. The 11/13 shifter is much better than the 14.

My preference, in...

Re: Economy Mode button, hate the default?!

This isn't really a reasonable response. They NEED eco mode for getting the MPG up. To prevent consumers from getting upset, they have to provide a way to override that, hence the button. If you know...

Beat me to it; GM / Chevrolet have nothing that is the same size as the GC, which has (in my opinion) perfect dimensions. The Acadia and Traverse are definitely bigger and are considered family...

Re: Sales - v6 vs hemi vs diesel?

Don't be too quick to blame "American's"; Jeep decided you can only get a diesel in Overland trim in Canada. You can't have a diesel entry price of $25,000 MORE than the $40,000 base / laredo trim,...

I don't think it's very reasonable to expect a dealer to put a value on a trade 8 weeks in advance; anything can happen to that car in that time. The most you can do is leave yourself open to walking...
