Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The PCM flash has no bearing on the EVIC display. The Cluster must have been updated, also. The vehicle will perform the same, the names have changed to confuse the innocent. See the additional...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The 6.4L operates at the input torque limit of the stock transmission. This is based on SRT performance history and towing considerations. There are lots of shops that specialize in hot-rodding the...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Sorry answered this but it apparently did not post.
There are some disadvantages to 5W-40 usage for the cam phasing system (rather than the MDS system). The fast acting cam phaser system was...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

If you are having braking issues and the ABS warning lamp is coming on, there should be fault codes stored in the ABS controller. Your tech should be able to pull the fault codes from the ABS unit.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Understand, The visor and manual are pretty accurate here. Driving normally with some accelerations help seat the rings and valvetrain. Immediate WOTs do not do the non-mated surfaces any good. ...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

A 6000 mile service interval is acceptable assuming you're not doing any hard track work or heavy hauling. Just make sure to monitor your oil level.

Among the 12 engineers in the room, no one...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

If you have time to play with the radio, then you're not driving hard enough! We have 3799 other customers who pay more attention to the exhaust note than the radio.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The exhaust tuning is optimized to strike a good balance between strong V8 and MDS - for the drone to be eliminated, the car would need to be ultra quiet at times when there should be great V8 tone.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The bolt Spacing for the caliper mount is NOT the same. While the 2012 brake package will fit inside the 2006-2010 model year wheel (just barely, think 1/8"), you would need heavy knuckle...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Before getting to the answers, we need to clarify two things:
1 - The One Lap car is NOT an ACR, regardless of the badge
2 - The wheels are NOT from the Viper

Ok, now to the vehicle specs:...

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The electrical system of the Jeep was established well before the charger/300. Unfortunately at that time, the 8.4 radio was not in the product plan or electrical architecture.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

You don't have bad mufflers. We've noticed the temp deltas between both banks during our thermal testing as well. It's the same on the LX's as well.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

The exhaust valves are there to help tune the exhaust while in MDS. We're able to keep the MDS open much wider using the valves, so you do see a fuel economy improvement. They can be eliminated, if...
