Black sediment in coolant

I just changed the thermostat, housing, upper and lower radiator hoses and when I drained the system I had a black sediment in the coolant that I drained. I'm guessing that it is from the hoses...

After finally getting the time to crawl around, the leak is coming from the thermostat housing. Do I need to replace the thermostat, gasket and housing??

I have only started to smell the coolant for the last week or so and don't think it has been leaking that long. I keep the reservoir in the middle of the two lines and it was down to the bottom line....

Had similar problem and it was the axle seal that was leaking and when it started spinning it threw the differential fluid all over the differential and up towards the oil pan.

Yes, drain it, flush it and put the correct coolant in and you should be ok.

It's the blower fan actuator. Do a search to find more info. I just did it, the part was $45 from my dealer and took about 20 minutes to change. You remove the glove box and it is right there.

Rear shocks torque specs???

Just put a set of Bilsteins on my 05 WK and I am getting a rattle front the rear passengers shock and am thinking it needs to be a little tighter. Does anyone have the torque specs for it?

I changed my oil today on my 05 GC WK and after removing the skid plate I noticed a coating of differential fluid on the rear of the oil pan, skid plate and the 5 inch square plate with a 3 inch hole...

The only vehicle I made out on when trading it in was a 03 VW Golf TDI, with 66K miles on it they gave me $500 less than I paid for it on a trade. It was perfect timing when gas hit $4/gal.
