Good news on Jeep recognizing this..
Hopefully as cars fail and appointments are made, Jeep will have the replacement parts on hand & it will only be a day for the repair/replacement of new axles.

Yea but, who's to say weather Jeep is using the same axles from the same supplier.. Has Jeep even identified the issue with the vendor? Quite possible they are still using axles that will continue to...

I have the same thing, but they're not going after the mirrors, just the lower front bumper.. Freakin ridiculous how they lifted the sheet so they could get at it!

What you're supposed to see is the freakin birds took the sheet & put it on the hood so they could attack the lower bumper!!!!!

I can understand if its exposed & they see their reflection at this...

The only thing I can say is for people in the Phila PA area, NJ DE or MD, if you want your car fixed right (this problem or anything else), the tech I use is John Kerwin at Reedman Toll in Langhorne...

Build date? When is somebody going to make an Excel spreadsheet so we can see the build dates that are affected? I don't know how to do it or else I would I'm sure somebody has the knowledge

Plus we can add to the mix that not all parts are necessarily from the same supplier/vendor..

Jeep can use multiple sources for the same exact part, so we need to know possibly the specific vendor...

It took over a year for the recall of 2010-2012 Dodge Challengers 5.7L for the timing chain failure..

Go on challengertalk & do a search...
Literally 100's of people with failed engines before...

Its not a problem that can be detected before leaving the dealers lot.
All you can do it have the tech mark them & check later on for slippage.

From the factory the CV boot clamps are tight and...

Got it up on the lift, bands tight, factory markings all in line, so far so good...

Will definitely keep an eye on it, my build date on the door was 4/2014 but...

So just "feel" the clamp & CV boot, if its loose you're gonna get the grease & need axle replacement, if they're snug, you should be OK??

So inspecting the clamp at the dealer does nothing since it can't be field tightened is what you're saying...

So its basically a "wait & see" till it comes loose & fails?

Also, the dealers are replacing the axles...

So is it bad axles, or faulty clamps?
Would the issue be alleviated by tightening & making sure...
