Re: 2007 3.7L 2wd towing questions

When I tow around 1500lbs with my stock 3.7 I don't even know it's there....
You won't have any discernible problems with your setup. 1500lbs is pretty light. Most cars will easily tow 1500lbs.

Re: Power steering and or water pump?

Something is seizing up at low rpm's. The reason you lose power steering and the temps spike is because at low rpms the crank pully is spinning within the belt so the belt doesn't turn the water...

Re: 2007 3.7l Revving problem

It's normal. It won't rev up and settle down quick like an older style car engine. IIRC it will only rev up to about 3500 rpms and it definitely takes a bit to settle down....

Re: Fog Lamp Activation

Most of the dealers I've ever run into charge a minimum of 1 hour labor to do anything.

It will work for awhile. ATF WILL kill fuel line. It makes it hard and brittle. Probably more due to the fluid temp changes than anything else. Keep an eye on it for sure

I'm at over 80k on my 07' 3.7 Wk with ONLY gripes about water pumps...pretty uneventful ownership really....
My 01' 4.0 WJ had 267k miles or something like that before I traded it in. Only replaced...

Re: What do you guys think of "dealer recommended" service intervals?

I know it's not the "recommended" way, but I've always "turkey bastered" those two fluids for maintenance....no issues.

Re: NAG1 Question

I've always bought mine from the MB dealer right down the street and never had any issues. Not saying the others won't work, but the trans fluid doesn't get changed that often so I've never really...

I think it has more to do with temps and chemical resistance. Good fuel injection hose is good for at best 300 degrees, some are even less. Common for trans temps from the trans to the cooler to be...

Re: Prestone Coolant Causing Water Pump Problems??

Personally I just think the pumps are JUNK. I had my first pump go out, literally blowing coolant all over the road, at 43k (untouched OEM only fluid) and just replaced another 2 weeks ago with just...

Re: New owner, 4x4 Laredo towed rear end up, worried.

It was totally the incorrect way to tow it. No doubt... He should have known better and sounds like he wouldn't have cared if he did do damage.
However, it sounds like you got lucky. If it's...

Re: 60K Mile Scheduled Maintenance coming up, have a few questions..

60k/100k depending on your maintenance schedule for the Nag1 tranny. Most people fall into the 60k type of driving. IMHO 100k on trans fluid is just plain silly....

Re: K&N Air filter....is it worth it for my WK 06, 3.7?

+1 K&N filters are known for allowing quite a bit of debris to pass through the filter.
Also, remember that the filter for the 3.7 and 4.7 are the same. So if the OEM filter will flow enough air...

Re: 60K Mile Scheduled Maintenance coming up, have a few questions..

IMHO add these to your list as well.
-trans fluid and filter
-air filter
-serp belt. I did the tensioner pulley assembly to, but mainly because I could hear bearing noise in the idler.

I think your issue is going to be load control. I'd imagine the camper is like a sail in the wind and no fun at all on a windy day.
While the wk will tow it, a full size would tow it better........

You will be fine without. I tow my skis on a double trailer at just over 3500lbs total loaded back and forth to the water all summer.
