Re: Toad Baseplate

GREAT. 2 birds with one stone. I'm looking forward to learning how the installation turned out and what you learned that might make our installation easier.

Second, you are headed to my...

I purchased on BlueOX baseplates in the US and brought them home to Canada last week when we returned from Florida. Now I have to hope my son has time to instal them. I only bought them after he...

Re: Renegade

My own preference is to the Cherokee because of its larger size. My dear wife prefers something smaller and her prior Escape was 8 inches shorter than the Cherokee. (actually, I'd prefer the Grand...

Not really - it appears it was opened only a few days ago and unless one is a devoted follower they sure would have not known what Jeep BU meant - I sure didn't.

Well, I have to say I must have been living in a cave. The announcement of the Renegade and its introduction in Geneva hit me out of the blue. Looking at the vehicle I'm starting to wonder if it...

Re: Software Update For Tail Gate

We recently returned home in our Cherokee Ltd but returned to FLA in our Town & Country (not enough room in the Cherokee for "her" stuff).

So I can't run out and check. I'm not sure if we ever...

Re: Software Update For Tail Gate

I'm confused. Why would anyone want to have a tailgate that can be opened without the use of a key. OR, are you saying that you have the proximity system and it should permit you to open the...

Re: Consumer Reports Can't Recommend Cherokee, Calls It Half Baked

I watched MotorWeek yesterday and the Cherokee was selected as the Best Small Utility of the year. IMO it sure is, even with a few glitches.

Re: Please place your hands on the steering wheel

I guess you don't have Lane Sense? If it is on and you get close it moves you back in to the centre even with your hands on the wheel (you can out muscle it if you wish). If you have a turn signal...

Please place your hands on the steering wheel

I've had fun demonstrating the Lane Sense feature to friends. On the way down to Florida I demonstrated it to my wife on I-75 when there was no traffic around us. Took my hands off the wheel and...

Re: EVIC message - 4WD not available transmission overheated

Yes. very close. Ties in to Weather Channel within a degree or two.

Further, it sure hasn't been that warm in Florida the past month. I don't think ambient has been as high as 80 when this...

Re: EVIC message - 4WD not available transmission overheated

Thanks. Clearly something is haywire since 70 mph in 8th gear and auto mode is not exactly hard driving. It has also occurred at lower speeds. I now wonder what it is going to take to get it...

Re: Flat towing behind an RV

Do you think that one could turn the ignition off and take the key out and flat tow if it had a lock? I kind of doubt it since the toad front wheels turn when going around corners.
