Re: WK2 DownUnder

Snuke is correct. Comparing insurance quotes is irrelevant.
All companies vary the prices according to postcodes. To test, get online, put in all the details, then requote with a different postcode....

Re: The Towing thread

I use a 7" screen, which connects to 2 side cams, and 2 rear cams. One of the rear's points downwards, which is ideal for reversing.
I can change the screen to 1 cam, 2 cams, or all 4 at once. One...

Re: WK2 Snorkel

Am thinking to install a Rhino roof Platform, mount some LED Lights to it, as well as the Murchinson snorkel.
Can run the wiring through the snorkel, and fit a plug at the top, so that when the rack...

Re: The Towing thread

Most use the Tekonsha Controllers, and a few the Redarc.
Unfortunately you got the dealer to install, and that is like giving the job to a work experience kid. Their only objective is to fit it in...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Or... what if you actually got there, and the Cherokee they sold you broke down in the middle of the Simpson Desert while attempting to get home. Would Jeep Assist tow you back to that dealership?

Re: Product Safety Recalls Australia

It looks like it is only effecting MY14's.
But hang on a minute! I thought the MY14's had issues where the Cruise Control would auto disengage?
If now they are saying that is also accelerates?

Re: 20" Tyre Thread

Installed the Cooper LTZ 285/50/20 today.
They are slightly noisy, with a low hum when cruising, but after 15mins or so, I wasn't noticing it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The GC is notorious with suspension bottoming out when QL is at full height. Almost sounds like the shock absorber is going to protrude into the cabin.

If you do get the Hayman, make sure you get the hook back.
It may be the same as the one they use on the front, so if you can get a bracket made, you will save a few hundred dlrs.
